Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!
Avalanche Hurricane! Just heard that this morning, from our hospital! What?????
I've met a first name: Beautiful, last name: Hill (True!)
and first name: Xero (pronounced Zero) last name: Poor (True!!!)
Poor Xero!!!!
I've also met a couple of Precious'
I used to work with a guy named Jerry Derryberry. (You've gotta say it out loud to appreciate it)
I just for the life of me, can't figure a new mom & dad w/the last name of Derryberry sitting in the hospital room with their adoreable new bundle of joy and saying "Jerry Derryberry" that's it, without thinking of the future ramifications... ha!
My ex-husband's new wife decided to name their first child, my first sons (from my marriage to him), middle name. Then, she named her second son, my second sons (from my marriage to him) middle name. That was confusing wasn't it?So my boys names are Nicholas Brandon, and their son is Brandon Lynn
and my child is Jacob Alan, and their second son is Alan Lee. Weird girl. Who wants to copy cat the ex-wife? Oh, and my middle name is Lynn, also. And I did make sure she knew all this before she went ahead with it.
Wow what's her problem?
I've heard a mother name her baby Seven because that is how many pregnancies she had before carrying a baby full term. She may have been thinking of the babies she lost, but what about the child having to grow up being called Seven all the time.
Do you watch Seinfeld?? that is the name George wanted to name his baby. it was a hilarious episode. I like the name. I know of a couple people named seven.

We had one who wanted to name the baby Se7en, and pronounce it seven. The birth registry would not let her do it.
Remember "Blossom" on tv...(fab name in itself!) Was her friend called Six??
Loved watching Blossom, (or maybe it was just Joey Lawrence that I loved!!!!!):heartbeat:lol2:

That is the actual spelling of the horror movie from a few years ago.
I once heard about a artist whose legal name was Sharon, but she called herself Sha4ron. If anything, it was a harmless gimmick.
Wow what's her problem?
Needless to say, she is an odd person!
I once had a couple name their baby girl Tattoo.....I still picture fantasy island..

An antepartum patient expecting her third daughter was planning to name her Lexus. Her other daughters were Porche and Mercedes.
I guess that's just how she rolled...
