Hey guys. I was hoping I could get some CRNA's opinions on this matter.
Do you find that the CRNA's tend to do the "easier cases"....i.e. ENT and ortho, and then the MDA will do the more difficult cases, i.e. cardiac or complicated GI??
Is this true, or not true?? Can someone explain all of this to me ?
Thanks so much :)

Not true. Our CRNAs do heads, hearts, and transplants.

Not where I work either - they are a majority here and can do any case booked.

So... I had to reread. I first saw this say head and heart transplants.... I was really intrigued and perplexed with the concept of head transplants....

At our facilities the MD's do the hearts, newborns, OB epidurals, and most traumas. CRNA's do the rest. Level I and II

I've not worked in the same hospital as a MDA for 8 years. The 7 years before that I contracted to a hospital that also had a MDA contracted with them. He did his cases, I did mine. The 3 of us rotated long room depending on who was on call.
CRNAs can do any case, any procedure that the MDA does.
