Hey guys! I haven't seen a thread for this yet so I thought this would be helpful to keep each other updated. Have any of you heard anything about the program yet?

Nothing from my friend, but I had a brief phone interview with HR couple days ago. The person I spoke with said they are hiring and HR will reach out to me sometime this month with positions I can interview for.

Has anyone who got accepted in an offer wait list hear anything back on the updates for hiring freeze! Or have a orientation date?

Is being placed on the "offer waitlist" mean you will definitely have a position once the hire freeze ends? Or will not everyone on the waitlist be offered a definite position?

I was told they can't guarantee that you will be hired once the hiring freeze is over. Which I guess makes sense because it's not like you are signing an official offer letter on the waitlist. Hopefully many of us will get hired though!

So I reached out to someone at NYU who was my supervisor while I was volunteering there. A really good source. She told me that the hiring freeze is still going on. Many departments have a waitlist and some don’t see themselves hiring new nurses till 2021 maybe.

what other hospitals did you guys apply to, if you don't mind me asking?

Mount Sinai, NYP, Northwell, and some private places as well. I actually had a recruiter reach out to me from mount Sinai in May and she had to cancel our interview bc of a family emergency. She wanted to reschedule our interview, but then she disappeared. Given our current situation, I figured she was going through a lot and decided to wait and reach out to her after I passed my NCLEX. Reached out earlier this week and her email address is no longer active ><
