Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?

Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.
Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

From my knowledge, your profile has to show as “complete” in order for it to be ready for review. There is a little section for reccs in your profile. If that isn’t checked then your application is not complete, and therefore cannot be reviewed yet.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Hey all! I am also applying for Fall 2020. I applied years ago in 2013 and got rejected, and since then, my prerequisite courses have expired and the grades were weak anyway, so this was an opportunity to reapply as a much stronger applicant with A's and solid experience in healthcare. This common app is honestly a pain. Best thing I can tell you is stay on top of the sources where you originally ordered your transcripts from. I had to do mine via credentials INC, and one transcript was lost, so I asked them as a courtesy to resend it since it never got there from 3 weeks ago!! NYU is very expensive, but it is a TOP school with great clinical sites, and access to great NY hospitals which is a plus.
Wishing everyone lots of luck!!

I requested transcripts last week and it showed up on common app this week so I'm not sure what happened to yours esp you did it early

Figured out what happened. Because I didn't send them to Common App, I sent to them directly, they never showed up there. But once I submitted my application and got my NYU login, their page reflected having all of my transcripts and letters in. Crisis averted! LOL
Hi, I've been following this thread for some time now. I applied for the fall start for the accelerated nursing program. I am so nervous because I only applied to two schools and I just want to know if I got in to either of them!! Has there been any update on when they will start sending out acceptance letters?

I submitted mine through Common App and within a full week from sending them they were updated in the system.
