NYU Accelerated Nursing Fall 2020

Published

Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?

Here's my stats:

Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Physio: A-

Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Chem for health sciences: C+

Nutrition: A

Stats: C

Lifespan dev: B

Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

I've been reading some of the old forums, and it seems that some of the previous applicants received their acceptances on 4/4 (april 4th) for the fall cycle. Those who applied to Pace, almost immediately after the deadline.

If submitting recommendation laters via mail (versus through the common app), do we need to include any other identifiers to make sure it’s linked to our application, other than our name?

maybe your common app ID number

did everyone submit their app already?

I did!

Can everyone post when they start receiving results? I am excited but also super nervous and waiting on pins and needles.

Thank you ?

I'm finishing up some classes right now - grades are due in the 27th so I'll update the Pre-Req section on my app and submit that day - right before the deadline! Lol Hopefully they're okay with my transcripts/letters of rec being sent in before the actual app.

But yes, everyone keep us updated with information! Fingers crossed we all get in!

i'm going to submit mine the day of the priority deadline. i heard they give more consideration to priority applicants than regular so hopefully we get good news ?

where did you hear that? if so let me get started with this app..its so long. do you actually have to fill in every single course youve taken on common app instead of sending the transcript

That's the point of having a priority deadline - it shows you're serious about their program and they usually go through those applicants first.

From my understanding (after I put in ALL of my classes on the Common App....) that part is ONLY for your pre-reqs. Everything else is on your transcripts. That just gives them easy access to the pre-req courses. Though, someone correct me if I'm wrong!

I think the general deadline is April 1st so you'd still have to have everything in before that, but if you get it in by March 1st you're considered priority. And let me know if you find out anything different about inputting courses!
