Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.
Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!
So am I the only one following this chaos and thinking how I wish I was in nursing school already? Hospitals running out of space for beds and a total staff shortage due to the influx of patients. I say open the door to as many eager students now who are willing to get in the trenches and help/volunteer their time in any way!
Mine did too! I ran to my computer to check. Do you guys think anything will change with this outbreak, timelines, curriculum, acceptances, etc? I wanted to email them to ask but don’t want to be annoying either with everything happening . I imagine they have a VERY full plate. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts...?

do you get a checklist after you submit the application? is it on a seperate website than common app
I read older threads & I’m pretty sure once the checklist disappears it means they made a decision, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re accepted. So we should be hearing back soon!

Mine disappeared earlier today! On their admissions Twitter, it said that all admissions, including transfer, are still moving forward as normal so I don't think there will be much delay. I know new undergrads get a decision April 1st and transfers/2nd degrees usually come right after that. Who knows what the actual program will be like, though, depending on how long we're all locked down...

Once you submit the common app, you'll get an email with an NYU login that will take you to your official checklist ?

I would think with everything going on it may get delayed a bit .
