NYU Accelerated Nursing Fall 2020

Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?

Here's my stats:

Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Physio: A-

Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Chem for health sciences: C+

Nutrition: A

Stats: C

Lifespan dev: B

Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

CONGRATS everyone! @Stephanie1003. They must have saw something in there that impressed them , because NYU is a reputable school. You probably had a killer personal statement ?? be proud! ??

You wouldn’t be eligible for any institutional scholarships, just federal loans

My undergrad was a 2.97 but a 4.0 for pre-reqs.

For those still waiting, they're only giving us a week to confirm attendance so I'm sure more decisions will be going out when that happens!

Congratulations! Yeah I think if I got in that would be the dilemma for me toooo. NYU is so nice but Drexel costs half as much and is shorter. But then it’s NYU LOL. So happy for you!

I ALMOST withdrew my NYU application when I got into Drexel so that I wasn't in this situation and now I wish I had lmao Thank you!!

My application was complete 2/29. RIGHT before the priority deadline, thank goodness for that extra day in February LOL
