Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

I called and spoke with someone in admissions today and she told me that we would hear back before the end of April. Hopefully that's true and we get good news next Friday!
Did anyone get asked to submit midterm grades? I applied a really long time ago like in December and they told me my application was complete. However, now they told me it remains incomplete and they need a midterm report from me. This waiting makes me so nervous!

I have three too! Human physiology, microbio, and developmental psych. I was worried about not having a lot of prereqs completed when applying, and it gets scarier and scarier as the wait gets longer
I didn't receive a request like that....I hope that doesn't mean they're not still considering me ?
How many pre-reqs are you both still working on?
I don’t think it means anything. The only reason they might be asking is because 1.)having several classes that are pending may put the student in a sort of academic limbo, NYU doesn’t know which way the student will go but can make a fairly good prediction based on the interim report 2.) all the pending classes are Spring classes. Those of us who are taking classes at the end of Spring, or Summer could not possibly have any grades available yet.
They honestly take too LONG to get these decisions out. Even before this pandemic, I know people found out quite late and by that time had already accepted a seat at another school. I heard back from all of the other schools I applied to with the exception of NYU. They must be flooded with applications, and really backed up.

When I emailed admissions a while ago, they said that decisions are released on a weekly basis starting in April until June 15th.
