Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.
Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!
They honestly take too LONG to get these decisions out. Even before this pandemic, I know people found out quite late and by that time had already accepted a seat at another school. I heard back from all of the other schools I applied to with the exception of NYU. They must be flooded with applications, and really backed up.

The only reason they might be asking is because 1.)having several classes that are pending may put the student in a sort of academic limbo, NYU doesn’t know which way the student will go but can make a fairly good prediction based on the interim report 2.) all the pending classes are Spring classes. Those of us who are taking classes at the end of Spring, or Summer could not possibly have any grades available yet.
I'm going to take chem during the Summer. but it's going to be online. I'm afraid that will disqualify me since they want it in person. hopefully they can make exceptions

Very true! At this rate I will have already started the semester for another school I applied to (I was offered a seat at SUNY Downstate and we start end of May) before I finally hear back from NYU. Whether acceptance or rejection, they take too long. O well their loss ??♀️
Any one else has heard anything? This is driving me crazy. I'm running out of time to put a deposit on one of the schools. If people are getting denied just send out the rejection letters as well. This is seriously annoying!

Admissions keeps saying no but it definitely is... I have two more fridays to wait for a response. After that I'm gonna have to put my deposit. I'm not going to let go an acceptance, while waiting for this school...

College of Mount Saint Vincent. I got into Pace too but the price is pretty high with no scholarships. Mount Saint Vincent doesn’t offer scholarships either but is way cheaper than Pace. I keep hearing that NYU are generous with financial aid depending on your need so let’s see. But they are taking too long.
