Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.
Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

Hi! So I graduated from San Diego State University with a 3.85 GPA but for my prereqs I had a 4.0 GPA. I also have had the same job for the last 5 years just working retail which I did throughout undergrad, I had volunteer experience in a hospital, a pretty hands on internship at a hospital, I did undergrad research, worked as an advisor in my undergrad department, worked as a Biology TA, and had an opportunity to shadow doctors abroad in Budapest for a month my junior year of college! Good luck to you!!
same. I'm having mixed feelings. the appearance of my portal looks the same. the only thing that disappeared is the checklist but I still have financial aid on there and the option to update pre-reqs

I’m starting to get so annoyed ? I applied way back in like November for the Fall 2020 class and I still have heard nothing back. The way they do this is incredibly frustrating. Luckily I already reserved my seat in another cohort at a different school.
Edit: CONGRATS to everyone who got in!! I’m so jealous!!
I totally understand the frustration because I'm feeling it too. I'm starting to feel defeated seeing everyone get accepted and it's silence on my end. It's tough but at least you have your seat an another school. That's awesome!

you already accepted a spot even tho its not nyu. which means your dream of being a nurse is alive. CONGRATS!

I just spoke with Admissions. The guy said you can hear any day of the week not just Fridays. Also there I'm sure a ton of people who are not in these forums that have received acceptance/denial. Hope to hear soon.
I applied 3/1 and haven’t heard back. I recently got accepted to Wagner but still waiting on NYU.
This whole portal thing is so confusing . My application portal still has the update tab to add information but my checklist disappeared. Haven’t heard a word yet (rejection or acceptance). They really do take awhile , from what I’ve read in previous threads some people hear back very late.
I have a question about pre-reqs. I need to take Chemistry but with all this going on, Summer class will be online. Does that still count or do I need to take it in person?
