Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.
Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!
I just received my acceptance to another program and I have a week to give them my acceptance but unsure if I should wait for NYU. The other school was originally my top choice due to cost, about half of NYUs but NYU is NYU. What would you guys do?
**just want to add, at this point I’m just glad to have been accepted somewhere.

congratulations on your acceptance. I feel like at this point, where you go doesn’t matter. as long as the school is credited and you learn, it should be fine. nyu only sends out decisions on fridays so who knows when we’re getting ours. I would commit to the other school just to be safe

Congratulations!! At this point, you might not even hear from NYU for a month. If the outcome is the same (BSN!) I would definitely accept the school that accepted you. Especially if it's cheaper! Either way, congratulations!

Congratulations!! So my cousin is a nurse practitioner and has been working in healthcare foreverrr
According to her it doesn’t matter what school like the other people on here have said
and if I were you I would go with the school you were accepted to especially if it was originally your first choice! That’s so so awesome

I am from out of state and only visited NYC twice. Anyone knows anything about reasonable renting options? Potential roommates maybe?
CONGRATS!!! A future welcome to NYC! If you would please share your stats/experiences, I think would be helpful to me and others in this discussion.
Hey everyone.
My name is Dai Phan. I came to the States as an international student from Vietnam. I've lived in Michigan for 8 years now. I got my 1st BS in Hospitality Management.
Here's my stats:

Prereq GPA: not sure because I took some of these courses at a local CC.
A & P premed classes: B (for both)

No volunteer experience but I worked at a veteran skilled-nursing facility for 5 months and have worked at a neuro CCU at a local hospital for 3 months now.
I think my micro prof. gave me a really good ref letter and my essay was decent.

WOW! that’s amazing. Thanks for sharing, and CONGRATS! My stats are actually very similar to yours and also my experience. I also applied and submitted everything 3/1. I am getting really nervous, not only have I not heard back from NYU but ANY other schools. I would LOVE NYU though. Trying not to feel too discouraged, but it is SO unbearable to keep waiting and not hear a word! ?
