NYU Accelerated Nursing Fall 2020

Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?

Here's my stats:

Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Physio: A-

Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Chem for health sciences: C+

Nutrition: A

Stats: C

Lifespan dev: B

Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

Hey all, so I wondering if anyone else got an email about updating their prerequisites. I received one asking me to update them— if they were online/repeated

Good sign?

Received that email about 3 weeks ago. It’s just to specify if the course was online or in person. Once that’s updated they can continue to review your application.
I still haven’t heard back.

I think I'd got the same email/request last Wednesday and then I got my acceptance letter 2 days after, so you will just find out this Friday. Hopefully good news!

I'm not sure if that is indicative of anything in particular. Someone from admissions reached out to me about one of my pre-reqs. Once I updated my class my checklist disappeared. It’s been about two weeks now without a decision.

I believe NYU admissions was just being diligent, which much appreciated.

I hope for our sake it means something positive. Best of luck!

I got that email too after I submitted my application. still haven’t heard anything back.

we are in serious need of nurses and doctors. I hope they accept more students this time!

So I’m going to start applying to more schools just in case

does anyone know of any other accelerated programs in NYC area with the same prerequisites

CONGRATS to all that got accepted already:) Does anyone know if acceptances and denials go out in waves or are they just random?? Like all acceptances first then all denials?? This waiting game is stressing me out !!
