NYU Accel. BSN Fall 2010

I just started my application for NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I heard they might not even be accepting applications for fall yet, though, since the spring deadline was only about a week ago. Is anyone else applying here for fall? Also, does anyone know what their average GPA for accepted students is? Would it help to submit my GRE scores even though they don't require it? Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I'm already nervous for admissions

You're lucky! I called and they told me that all they could tell me is that I'd here from

them shortly... But congrats!!!

my stats weren't that great. i had a 3.4 gpa from an average state school. A and B for A&P, B- for Micro, A's for psych, stats and nutrition. I had alot of research experiences though, from well known institutions and a company, so that might have helped. Btw, I had no clue what the N number you guys were talking about, but I just tried activating my netid by putting in my SS# and dob, and bam I had a netid ready for me. When I asked the admissions counselor whether that was an early indication of the good news, she said probably but it's odd because usually students cant log on until they made their deposits.

I also read on a different forum that people have had the netid pop up, but got rejected soon after. So even if you cant activate your netid, don't be so discouraged. I wish you guys good luck!!

im sure it was an odd case for me that they informed me over the phone. they said i should receive a package within the next two weeks or something like that, so i'm guessing that's when the first batch of acceptances are gonna be going out. Keep your fingers crossed, I'll wish you the best!

Yeah, i thought it didn't make sense either (being able to activate the netid). I just read it somewhere, gave it a try, it worked and I was trying to see if anyone else knew anything about it lol. I'm definitely just going to wait and see what they say because who knows, it could mean nothing for me...especially since they wouldn't tell me anything over the phone lol. Is NYU your #1? Yeah, i thought it didn't make sense either (being able to activate the netid). I just read it somewhere, gave it a try, it worked and I was trying to see if anyone else knew anything about it lol. the N number people are referring to is the one they sent in an email when they received our applications. It's the number they asked me for when I asked them to look up my application status. I tried putting that number in, and it didn't work when i tried to activate the netid. But when i put my ss# in, it worked.

Hey question-for molloy and stony brook u would have to move to their dorms bc its far right? I am applying to every school possible bc i want to get in somewhere!
