I recently applied for a new grad position at NYP and I got an email saying my app is currently "being considered" for the new grad opportunity and they will "contact me within the next 2 weeks regarding next step/status etc".
Does that mean I have a chance to land an interview, or is it what everyone gets after they apply?
It was not a computer generated email.....but an email from an actual person......

Yeah they called me again but I missed it so they said they would email me and to respond to it quickly. So I got the email and wrote back saying I'm definitely still interested and asked what their timeline is for interviews but I doubt they'll write back.
Congratulations @immaRNfinally ! Was this interview for the med/surg new grad program at Cornell? Ahh i really want an interview but they havent contacted me since those intial first emails about the program! Also, what were the questions like?
I initially applied to the New Grad posting and was also notified of the new program where they float to different med-surg floors. But later updated me that they had a position available in the med-surg unit, in which I interviewed for.
You'll first meet with the nurse recruiter and was asked several behavioral questions like; why NYP, tell me about yourself, tell me about your previous job, etc. After you'll meet with the Patient Care Director of the unit and ask more behavioral questions (what are your weakness and strenghts, how do you handle conflict, etc) and later have conversations with few senior nurses.
Does anybody know when they're gonna start interviewing for the float med surg program? Also, does anybody have an email that somebody actually responds to? Haha I emailed back that lady about the med surg thing but she didn't answer, not surprising.
