NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

Hi vgsrn and titanium!

When will you have your medical? Ours was sched on August 30, 2006.

How long does it take for the case to be completed by the NVC? does it really take 6-8 weeks? well, heres my timeline.

January 2006: Offer letter from my employer

February 2006: case filed and USCIS received my papers on February 2006(Vermont)

May 2006: Submitted my DS230 forms page 1 and 2 to my agent (the PDF version)

June 2006: Case Approved by the USCIS

July: NVC has assigned a case number (MNL 2006****) and generated the Fee bill

Last week of July: Payment was received by the NVC. and I guess

NVC has submitted biographical data to the lawyer

August: NVC was waiting for the return of The Biographical Data from the lawyer

August 21: NVC has received the Biographical Datas from the lawyer.

how long does the NVC can process cases? thanks very much I hope everything will turn out right.

Hi crumvy,

My son and I went to the SLMC clinic last friday for the first day of our medical exams. We've finished with the laboraroty, physical exam, medical history and x-ray.We're going back tomorrow for the immunizations and other things that they might recommend. I will still have to get my son's immunization record from his pediatrician. They will not honor his baby book cause his immunization summary at the back of the book weren't countersigned. He was also recommended for pulmo follow up after a month.I hope that doesnt delay us in anyway.

You can actually go there even without a schedule.Just bring your appointment letter.I recommend you go there around 1pm.Lesser people already. We were there 1:15 pm and I was finished at 3:30 pm but I still had to bring my son to xray so we were there till 4.Which is still ok, unlike those that came real early and still finished in the afternoon.

Let's keep on praying that everything goes well for all of us.:D

keep posting

:lol2: just our babies/kids not US when we were babies...haha hard to find my immunuzation record considering it was 3 decades ago!Plus I don't think they gave a big deal on immunizations back then.

You can go to SLMC for your medical anytime,it says in the packet instruction at least 1 week before your scheduled interview, but I think the earlier you have it the better so you will still have time if any other thingswill be required of you.:D

Hi! I'm new here :) Can somebody help me with my question? My priority date is on mar. 13, 2006, originally they filed my case in vermont service center.. but it was later transferred to texas sc. Given that i've already completed my case with NVC, do i still need to check the cutoff dates in texas service center or in vermont for it to reach mar. 13, 2006.. (because now it's in feb 23, 2006) for NVC to give me a sched of interview?? And can somebody tell me if I'll be affected by the upcoming retrogression?

my timeline's:

priority date - 3/13/06

receipt date - 3/15/06

approval notice - 6/27/06

fee bill with MNL# - 7/31/06

fee bill paid - 8/5/06

ds230 mailed to lawyer- ???

ds230 mailed back to nvc - ??

case complete ---???

btw, congratulations to all the nurses who'll be having their interview this september :)

Nah, you don't have to check USCIS Service Centers anymore, instead, you need to check with the NVC regarding completion of your case which signals its transfer to the Consul/US Embassy for the scheduling of interview. You can email NVC at: [email protected] or call them (P50/min) w/ their hotline#:+16033340700. You must be ready with you USCIS Receipt number so that they can give you your status.

Goodluck Heinrick and May we be blessed---looks like we're on d same boat...

Just to share a friend's timeline: She sent DS230 last June 28/06---Case Completed july 14 and happily learned today that her interview sched is on Sept 11/06. I think we've read similar timing here w/ 2 other posts.

Once we get our appointment letter is it ok to have our medical exam as early as 3-4 weeks prior to your appointment date.

How long is the validity of our medicals?

hi vgsrn,

thanks for dat info!! hehehe dats gud then...i tot i still have to go thru finding dat old immunization record..so what do i need to bring with me when i go to SLMC aside from my appointment letter? anything else dat i need to present when i get there? or simply presenting my self and my appointment letter is all dat i need? what do u think?

hi mariel7,

ur friend and i have d same interview schedule...goodluck for d two of us dat day..hehehe

just curious, what happens if you can't supply a record of your kids' immunizations? when i was 15, the first time i had a medical before when my mom petitioned me to live in the states, i don't remember immunizations being needed. but it's a requirement in school so i had to do them all over again before enrollment, but that's when i was already there.
