NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Hi donty8,

I guess we're on the same batch. My P3 was sent to NVC Aug. 8. I emailed them last Friday if it was already received but they havent replied yet. But based on your case, I am assuming they have already received my P3. Keep me up to date regarding your case because we are on the same batch...Hopefully our case will be completed by end of Aug or first week of Sept.

happylearning,

my case was completed july 14, 2006.. :)

thanks a lot, Titanium!

yours is really fast! it takes exactly 8 weeks to have interview!

you will definitely catch the numbers! mine is completed one month later than you, so "LUCKY" to probably miss the cut off!

:angryfire

hello donty8 & agh_ph

We're on the same batch. My packet 3 was recieved by NVC last August 11,2006. I hope our interview will come soon and get our visas before the retro begins. Just keep on praying.

Hello!

I have a question, if one has an interview on Sept 11,2006 and provided there are no problems with the interview and IV will be issued. How soon should one depart for US? Will it still be affected with retrogression? Cause I have read in one forum (not this one) that unless one arrives at USA, they still can be affected with retrogression. Please offer your thoughts and clarification on this matter. Thank you!

if you have no problems with your interview and they have issued your visa then I should imagine there shouldn't be any problems and no effect from retrogression.. The problems would be if one arrives in the US on a travel visa and then try to do AOS as they will be the ones who will have the difficulties once retrogression starts

Donty8, we have almost the same timeline.

hi nicole1230... how did you and donty8 know the date the nvc received your packet 3. i emailed them and this was the reply i received:

good afternoon,

your inquiry has been received at the national visa center (nvc).

please be advised this case is currently under administrative processing. the nvc will send further instructions once this processing is completed.

regards,

national visa center

thus this mean they already received my packet 3? i was just wondering since they did not exactly state if it was received and when it was received. but i am assuming they already received it since it was sent by my lawyer to them aug. 9...

Agp ph, I would say that your docs were received already since NVC stated that they're under administrative processing(packet3 papers are per se what they need to undergo NVC admin processing)...then wait for the words: "Case complete"(w/c some say take 2-3 wks),then finally the scheduling of medical & interview. I wish you all the best!:smokin:

Hi agp_ph

I agree with mariel7, your p3 was already received by the NVC. For me I called the NVC and the voice prompt stated the date when my p3 was received.

Hi Mariel7 and Nicole1230. Thanks for the reply.

Nicole1230, I guess we are really on the same batch. I called NVCand the voice prompt also said that my P3 was received Aug.11...exactly the same day as yours.

Lets just hope we won't be affected by the retrogression.
