NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

Anna is 100% correct, the new forms have already been out for sometime. Has your visa bill actually been paid? When is your PD date?

The people answering the phone for immigration are contract workers in many cases and are not always up to date on what is going on. We have seen nurses from Canada with TN visas being told that the TN visa is only for business purposes and that the nurse cannot work with it, but we all know that is not correct. The visa that they use to work here is the TN Visa.

If your attorney is telling you to wait until the new forms are out, it means that he has not received the request from USCIS and that is needed. You do not send the forms in until they actually request it via mail. You need to have the form with the actual barcode on it. Seems like your attorney has not received it yet.

yes my fee bill was paid this month. my PD was May 2006. well, I have to ask my lawyer if he already received the form. thank you!

If your bill was just paid this month, then seriously doubt that your attorney has received the actual form from them. Nothing happens over night with immigration. And they will not accept the DS-230 without the actual barcode stamped on it.

You are not getting correct information. Your attorney has not received a thing from them as of yet. There is no waiting until next month for new forms, they have already been out for sometime.

Hi,

My sister's case is in NVC and she paid the visa fee bills and the case is not completed. Her place of consulate interview is in Muscat (where she works). This was noted in NVC's letter. Unfortunately her husband is in India and they need to change the place of interview from Muscat to India (Chennai Consulate). What is the procedure for changing consulates. Is there anybody who ever changed the place of consular interview?

Thank you

Hi Jrhyle,

Thank you very much for your reply. It is really helpful and informative. As my sister's case is now with NVC, is it possible to write to NVC and request them not to send the completed file to Muscat Embassy and instead send it to Chennai Consulate in India? Is there any need to write to these embassies?

Thank you

The best thing to do is write to Muscat Embassy first since they have the jurisdiction over her case, they will further advise her what to do. And I would suggest that she write them as soon as possible and explain her case. I'm sure they would consider it and hopefully grant her request.

And remember, the earlier the better!

Best of luck!

P.S.

My correspondence with US Embassy Manila was via e-mail, they replied and advised me to write a letter to the US Embassy in London and request for a case transfer. I made a hardcopy of the e-mail and sent it along with my letter. After a few weeks US Embassy London replied accepting my case :wink2:

My case was completed and forwarded to the embassy july 17th 2007 and forwarded to the London embassy does anyone know if you get confirmation that embassy has recieved your file or exactly what the next thing i can expect.

hello everyone...its a disappointing day for me last night.I received an email from NVC and they told me that the ds230 of my family is still not with them..oh..How can that be?? The first email I received said that all the necessary documentation are with them already.

I contact my lawyer about this and they told me that they already mailed all our documents and they have not received any letter from the NVC. What will I do now? SO CONFUSED..........:uhoh3::uhoh3:

An interview date is what will come next. They usually do not notify you when they receive it.

When was your DS-230 submitted, and was it the new one that just came out? The previous ones expire this week. When did they actually mail the documents? You usually need to allow about two weeks for them to get it to the correct file, it is not done immediately.

I agree to what Suzanne said, in my case, I wasn't notified but I just received my Packet 4 after several weeks.

Good luck!

Rang the embassy today they confirmed they had recieved my file and i should expect some good news in 4-6 weeks:D. The lady was so nice even wished me luck for the rest of my journey.

Its funny how 1 phone call can lift your spirits so much:monkeydance:
