mariel,fruity, leis and to everyone thanks for the comfort.just cant help but let a tear fall from my eyes while reading your msgs for me. its really hard to fathom why this has to happen but i guess being hit by retrogression has served its purpose for me....i'm still here in the phil when this lowest ebb has to happen. from the bottom of my heart thanks guys for the prayers i truely need it for my mom and may God shower you with blessings in return.i hope we could all get to see each other in the future.

finally got thru an operator & told me the needed docs (again): copy of passports, police/NBI clearances from me & dependents, You know I repeatedly asked my agency/lawyer if only ds230 updated was all that's asked for & they said yes,And guided by my research that nVC only wants docs that are asked & not to send anything else, I complied, Now why did they just ask last month for ds
230 when in fact they want more?

Hello Mariel, we have the same problem. my documents (ds230 and nbi clearace) was received by nvc on july 12, 2007. I called up the nvc last tuesday morning (around 3am) and I found out that my case isn't complete yet because some documents are missing. I am really frustrated because I was expecting to have my case completed this week. My lawyer told me that the NVC was only asking for an updated ds230 and nbi clearance. I submitted what they were asking, how come that some documents are still missing. hope all of these trials will end soon...sigh!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Leis, glad to hear your case was already completed. Now we are on the waiting game for October, hope we get included in the October schedule.

Mariel7 and Monroe hang in there, right now there's only one thing to do...just give NVC what they are asking for. I know it's really frustrating especially getting a police clearance again from another country for Mariel's hubby.

Thanks fruity. You sound really warm & nice.
You know what I'm most worried about now (because I have renewed copies of NBI already plus passport easy to photocopy) is that of my husband's police clearance from another country where he worked for a year. They're asking for it also (expiring this Aug) & when we requested that from that country last year, it took about 3 months before we were sent one. Now that would mean considerable delay for us.
I know everyone here has so much in their own minds--I still wish you & everyone here the best of luck...

Where did your husband work before?I have the same problem last year with my husband's police clearance from Taiwan. it take us 3 months to get it and it delayed the submission of our documents. Please try to check if there is an expiration date on his police clearance (usually they set it at 6 months) my husband's don't have expiration date. When we try to secure a new one the embassy told us that we can use the old one - their reason is that my husband never go back to taiwan again after obtaining the previous clearance.

My lawyer also told us to send only the updated DS230 and all remaining documents can be submitted later during the interview. If this is the case that is going on, I think we have to send everything again.

please don't be confused why some of us are being ask to submit all our papers again and why some are only asked to submit updated ds230. please check here. each country have different requirements.

if the applicant or a child of the applicant is about to turn 21 years of age, review the [color=#606420]children who are about to turn 21 years of age instructions.
the applicant must complete the [color=#606420]application for immigrant visa and alien registration forms ds-230 part i and part ii .
the applicant must obtain and submit the applicant’s civil documents. view a list of documents the applicant will need to submit to the nvc.
mail the ds-230 and the applicant’s civil documents to the nvc.

Yes As far as I am aware for London we take police clearance with us we do not have to submit it before hand

I called up the nvc few minutes ago. i waited for more than 10 minutes before i was able to talk with the operator. the only document that is missing is my passport. my friend and I have our cases completed last year. this year, she was only asked to submit an updated ds230 and her case was completed few weeks ago.

Why she wasn't asked to submit her other documents? it's really unfair but we have nothing to do about it...sigh!!!God bless everyone..

Depends on how old that her other documents are. Each file is reviewed by a human and they are the ones that make thedecision as to what needs to be resubmitted to them, and what just needs to be shown at the US Embassy.

Hi Monroe. Yeah looks like we're on the same plate. I have read your posts before about you following-up w/ your agency & how irritated they were. Seems funny that time but not now anymore. Same experience I get from mine. Look where we are now. Anyway,no use pointing fingers bec for all we know, maybe there've been changes in NVC requirements like pssport copies again (though mine to expire still in 2010) or maybe it all depends on the NVC reviewer (yup-the human factor).

Let's just give what they ask for. Never give up. And you know in my frustration the other night, while my family's all asleep & no idea how heavy I was feeling--I went to the bathroom, closed the door, & yelled it all out. Afterwards, I talked to myself & promised everything will still turn out fine.

Thanks mutya. Hubby's clearance (certificate) actually got no expiration date & he was in Canada in the 90's & never came back. But it was released to us with a date last year (Aug 2006)for Packet3 attachment( we requested that in May). Dunno why they are asking for another one when DS230 clearly states where he was all these years.

I only hope they will just ask for the new one dated this year if (AND IF) we'll get embassy interview bec we are just about to mail another request & maybe receive it 3 mos later (i hope earlier).

Of course I do understand the US' need for thorough security check but also hoping it will be fair to us.

Pls update me if they accepted your hubby's old one bec I might just also send the one copy left I have w/ me dated 2006 & hopefully just ask for an updated one during interview. Thanks a lot.

I just want to ask if the DS230 form will expire this july 30, 2007? Because my agent told me that they will wait for a new DS230 next week before I caN fillout and send to nvc. IS IT TRUE? thank you!
