Dec 2007 VB
ours is still better than others at least we are moving. although slow but it is moving. employment preferences - worldwide and philippines: first: will remain "current" second: will remain "current" third: slow forward movement should be possible while demand patterns are established. third "other workers" (all countries): little if any forward movement is expected at this time. should the current demand pattern continue, it may be necessary to retrogress the cut-off date at some point later in the fiscal year.

AOS filers from July 2007
The numbers that you have posted was right and your calculation of 14,000 visas left is also correct. But it is hard to assume that there are still visas left. As for me there are no more visa left, the 14,000 that is the point of discussion here was used to clear the backlog on EB3. Please remember that nurses belong to EB3. If we take a careful look at the visa bulletins there is no schedule A in May 2005 and it started in June 2005. WE take a closer look at May 2005 bulletin EB3 for PIC is Jun02. Then they created Schedule A to clear the backlog for nurses in June 2005. Take a look at Jan 2007 VB they are processing Schedule A for June 2004.*** How can they process Schedule A for June 2004 if Schedule A started in June 2005???? It is because they consider all nurses that apply in EB3 to be a part of schedule A before June 2005. So the 14,000 that is under discussion here was also used to clear the nursing backlog from Jun02 to Jun 04 under EB3. :monkeydance:

NY lic apllication for nclex
NYSED will only give you a license number to be use in registering for NCLEX. You will be the one to take of your application for NCLEX. When did you start your CVS? It will take time, mine takes 14 months before I got the result. Limited permit is only issued to those people who have come to the US without taking NCLEX.This is issued for you to work while you are waiting for the result of your NCLEX. They will not issue you a limited permit since you are in the Philippines, with the retrogression in effect the best way is for you to secure all requirements first, gain experience and worry about immigration later. By the way have you started your immigration process?(I-140,Visa fee bill,DS-230)

November Visa Bulletin -OUT!
November 2008.That is the reason. No candidate aspiring for office will openly support any legislation which touches immigration. Unless GWB suddenly died in a hospital since no nurse is available to revive him.:welcome:

November Visa Bulletin -OUT!
Because it was done before, there is no reason they can't lobby for it again. As of now nothing will happen. maybe next year when the July VB fiasco fizzle out.

need help..Just graduated, I have tourist visa for Cali..
It is not a valid for deportation but they will not issue tourist visa to you if your intention to go to the US is to take NCLEX.They will only issue visa to you if you have already applied to take the NCLEX with the testing center as Saipan and Guam but not on US mainland.

Visa Bulletin for September 2007
they have set the PD to 2002 for Philippines and it is better than unavailable. It means that they will still process application before that cut-off date. I don't know where they get the visa that they will use in processing those applications, maybe the the ones that are being returned. Don't get too upset, instead we should be thankful that some will finally realize their american dream after waiting for 5 years.I am still hoping that in the coming months we can see a more acceptable date maybe 2005 or early 2006. At least they can clear some in 2002 and those are probably with problems in their applications, dont be sad, cheer up for them and shame on those who did not follow the proper way and jump on the queu.

October 2007 VB prediction
It may come close to that date. If we can track down PD's then we can somehow get a clear idea of what it may come out. We are under the country limit and it somehow affect us to be slower also. Our only hope is schedule A which as of now is not available. The date our PD become current will come, we just have to wait...

what does an eligibility letter look like?
It states that they have received and evaluated your credentials. It also contains your ID number and it clearly states if you are eligible to take the NCLEX if not.

Monroe; My lawyer also told us to send only the updated DS230 and all remaining documents can be submitted later during the interview. If this is the case that is going on, I think we have to send everything again.

Mariel, Where did your husband work before?I have the same problem last year with my husband's police clearance from Taiwan. it take us 3 months to get it and it delayed the submission of our documents. Please try to check if there is an expiration date on his police clearance (usually they set it at 6 months) my husband's don't have expiration date. When we try to secure a new one the embassy told us that we can use the old one - their reason is that my husband never go back to taiwan again after obtaining the previous clearance.
