Nursing laws on pronouncing death in NY state
Hi all. I did try the search function but wanted to be clear. Are RN's in NY allowed to declare death? Any link as reference would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Suicide
Amazing stories here... For the OP, its normal. This is something beyond our control & this is one of the many professions in which emotions should be well handled to provide the best care for others. Hang in there.:)

Don't feel ready!
Just like everything else that is new to you, it does feel awkward. First day might be full of anxiety, but it'll get less & less as days go bye. You'll get through it smooth as a silk if you believe in yourself. Keep your chin up. You'll do fine.

Help! What to teach re: diarrhea and constipation while taking diuretics
Both would get worse since both have a decrease in fluid & diuretics would further excrete more fluids.

Poked myself with a syringe
I hope not. Worst thing I can think of is just minor infections. Keep us posted.:wink2:

have to re-take nclexRN
Hello & good day to all, 5mins ago i called pearsonvue's quick results line & learned that i have to retake the nclexRN. i felt sad but i am now over it. i am on my feet again, gearing up & ready to start from scratch on a positive note more determined than my first attempt. Thanks be to God for the opportunity! it (the exam) was unlike anything i have seen before, (maybe i was culturally shocked? i dunno..) anyways, i did well & finished the saunders 4th ed for my nclex preps. i would like to do more this time so i am looking at taking the HESI review approach, do they have a website? i am a licensed foreign nurse, but we do not have this HESI stuff from where i come from. any other programs/acronyms (SATA, HESI, etc) brought up will be greatly appreciated so i can look them up & their website sources as i am completely ignorant about these stuff. also please let me know how to go about the re-processing of my NYSED application/s. any information, tips & links for further reading will be much appreciated. GOD bless you all.
