I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details

Hi! Planning to pay again... don't know what exactly what to do...but I have read some threads here regarding that.... though if no miracle interview will happen, planning to renew my NCLEX results this SEptember just to be sure it won't get expired.
Hi FRUITY! Thanks for the reply. How do we renew our NCLEX results? Do you have any idea? Is your NCLEX CA too? How's the status of your case at the nvc? I really hope some miracle happens and we'll get our interview soon.

Hi! This question was answered by Suzanne4. NCLEX results do not expire, you just have to resubmit the application. And it cannot be done in advance and I should wait til Jan 2008 to resubmit. May I ask on what stage are you in processing your papers?
I called up the nvc few minutes ago. i waited for more than 10 minutes before i was able to talk with the operator. the only document that is missing is my passport. my friend and I have our cases completed last year. this year, she was only asked to submit an updated ds230 and her case was completed few weeks ago.Why she wasn't asked to submit her other documents? it's really unfair but we have nothing to do about it...sigh!!!God bless everyone..
Hi MONROE77! Did you inquire what documents were missing? It's a really case to case basis. I know of some people who only sumbitted an updated ds230 (as per their lawyer's advice) but their case was completed already. There are some that i know who submitted everything all over again. You might have missed filling out something in the DS230 or might have written something incorrectly..,most of the people i know whose case was "missing documents" missed filling out something in the form, others accidentally skipped on the dates etc. I hope this helps. Don't worry much about it. Everything happens for a reason.
hello...I just want to ask if the DS230 form will expire this july 30, 2007? Because my agent told me that they will wait for a new DS230 next week before I caN fillout and send to nvc. IS IT TRUE? thank you!
just to add to what suzanne has said. Many on here have already filed the new DS230 as was requested from last month for people to re submit new forms, but again only the ones who NVC wanted

Hi again! My documents were received by the NVC already. Im still waiting for further instructions. But with how things are going and the retro still to set in I'm really not expecting for an interview soon. Though i hope we'll get in line by Oct. Sometimes it just gets really tiring and draining . Is your NCLEX in CA too? Pls keep me posted. How about you? In what stage are you in already (NVC)?

Hi connie...Yup, I asked the operator and she told me that the only missing document is a photocopy of my passport. A letter was sent to my lawyer on July 23, so my lawyer is expecting to have it this week or anytime next week. I am just wondering because my passport will expire on 2010 and why they are asking for a new copy...my lawyer said, sometimes the operator gives wrong informations.
Last tuesday, I emailed my lawyer asking the status of my papers at NVC. She told me that my case is already complete, but I was in doubt. I was so anxious that morning (3am) and I was not able to sleep the whole night. To stop my worries, I decided to call the NVC, and I found out that my case wouldn't be completed because some documents are missing (I just followed the voice prompt). I was so frustrated because she lied to me . I informed her about what I discovered and she told me "well, lets just wait for the letter to arrive and see what documents are missing". Last night, I decided to call the NVC again. I tried calling for about 10 times before my call gets connected and I waited for more than 10 minutes before I was able to talk with the operator. I will just inform you guys once my lawyer receives the letter.
Hi Monroe. Yeah looks like we're on the same plate. I have read your posts before about you following-up w/ your agency & how irritated they were. Seems funny that time but not now anymore. Same experience I get from mine. Look where we are now. Anyway,no use pointing fingers bec for all we know, maybe there've been changes in NVC requirements like pssport copies again (though mine to expire still in 2010) or maybe it all depends on the NVC reviewer (yup-the human factor).Let's just give what they ask for. Never give up. And you know in my frustration the other night, while my family's all asleep & no idea how heavy I was feeling--I went to the bathroom, closed the door, & yelled it all out. Afterwards, I talked to myself & promised everything will still turn out fine.
Will keep in touch.
Same here, my passport will expire on 2010. My lawyer is wondering why the NVC is asking for a new copy of my passport. My lawyer said, maybe the operator gave me wrong information because it happens sometimes. So, we are just waiting for the letter to arrive to confirm what document/s is/are missing. I was planning to send a copy of my passport to my lawyer today, but she said she has already a copy of it.
Yes, we should not give up. The best thing to do is to comply what they ask. When I found out that my case isn't complete yet because some documents are missing, I was so frustrated. Due to my frustration, I wasn't able to sleep the whole night and at around 5am (tuesday) I went to the park and had jogging. The last time I did this was many years ago when I was depressed too...hehehehe....Lets stay positive. I know everything will turn out well and all of our sacrifices will be paid off soon...God bless us all!

Yeah, my NCLEX is in CA too. You'll never know prabably a fews years from now we get to see each other. NVC recieved my updated ds230 July 18. Crossing my fingers on the completion of my case. Lately, I try to limit my calls and emails to NVC.... And now I am SUPER addicted to this forum!!! Gives me answers to hard to find questions.
Your agent gave you very bad information. You do not submit anything to USCIS until it is asked for, or they will just return it. All expire next week, but that does not mean that immigration will be sending out new ones next week to everyone. Far from it. Did you actually get approval on your old DS-230? If not, then do not expect to see a request issued next week. Until they take care of those that have been waiting longer, they are not going to get to the newer petitions. The entire reason that they just made visas available was to clear up pending petitions that had been approved and were just waiting for the interview. Not anything more. There is still a retrogression in place.
I called the NVC yesterday and told me that they are waiting for my DS230 forms. I asked my agent and told me to wait for the new forms of DS230 since the form will expire next week. its my first time to submit ds230 to NVC.
thank you ms. suzanne! :>

then the lawyer is telling you wrong because there are a few on here that have already sent back new forms myself included already this month and mine was the first time they was asked for although there are some that have had to re send their DS230. Some have already got their files completed with the new forms
Anna is 100% correct, the new forms have already been out for sometime. Has your visa bill actually been paid? When is your PD date?
The people answering the phone for immigration are contract workers in many cases and are not always up to date on what is going on. We have seen nurses from Canada with TN visas being told that the TN visa is only for business purposes and that the nurse cannot work with it, but we all know that is not correct. The visa that they use to work here is the TN Visa.
If your attorney is telling you to wait until the new forms are out, it means that he has not received the request from USCIS and that is needed. You do not send the forms in until they actually request it via mail. You need to have the form with the actual barcode on it. Seems like your attorney has not received it yet.
