NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

Yes, I have an employer(who never spent a centavo for me.... hope and pray I'll be refunded). My PD is september 2005...NVC case approved oct.2006. visa fee bill paid june 22, 2007. May I know if there is a way where i could personally keep track of my nvc case? thanks

Have you been to their website?

if you send them an e-mail, they usually respond to your query. hope this helps.

Mine too, still no change in the automated voice response of nvc. Is there someone in this forum knew if the NVC will release the August visa bulletin this July 13th? What I know is that there are visa left for aug and sept, and it's only the 60k visa w/c were recapped has been allocated this July for all EB3. Am I correct?:uhoh21:

In my understanding the 60k visa that was consumed was part of the yearly allocation (fiscal year 2007). It had been stated that CP will still continue to interview clients this July but no news come out about Aug or Sept. I am not sure but we may see Visas to be release only in October 2007 (the start of fiscal year 2008)and this means that we have to wait for the VB to come out on the 2nd week of Sept. to detemine if there are visas available in October. If there is VB to be release this July for the month of August it may be with a capital U.

jrhyle.... thanks

read this: i am not optimistic but maybe, maybe if this is true then there are still visas available for this fiscal year 2007.

zoe lofgren's letter is on aila

"the department's unprecedented decision to reject adjustment of status applications has caused needless hardship and disruption to countless immigrants," noted rep. zoe lofgren. "it has also come to my attention that uscis began returning visa numbers to the state department as early as thursday, july 5, 2007, due to their inability to review applications effectively. the department of homeland security has once again demonstrated its inability to complete even its core missions. this debacle demonstrates the need for more transparency and oversight of the department's operations and procedures."

To leis23, Gracie, Agh_ph to everybody else,

A lot of nurses under AOS are getting approval with a priority date so much later than ours. How do they process cases? I felt like we are being left out in the dark.... its really sad knowing that we had our case comlpeted last year.:(

Hi fruity! I know how it feels. I think the path thru AOS is shorter than us under CP but at least we passed thru the proper/right way (not tourist but w/ intent to stay). I still believe though that USCIS/NVC will continue to be fair to us. Hallo agp_ph, leis23, gracie8, pretty neirelle, ilona, donty, bettyboop, jakey, & all others waiting!! I wish you restful sleep at night(oh how each day drags & yet no certainty).

BTW, here's my update:

PD: Dec 2005

I140 approval: MAy 2006

Case complete: October 2006 (prior to retrog)

NVC received re-submission of DS230 (updated): July 11, 2007

I talked to the NVC phone personnel & he said to wait 2-4 wks for review. I asked him if NVC will continue to process despite recent retrogression, & he said, "yes, for this case, visas are available". I can only hope it's true. But y'a know, just like last year, we hoped & waited, but sometimes, that's just the course of things.

For the nth time, goodluck to all!
