I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

you have to follow what your lawyer told you: you still have to submit the birth cert. though they dont expire. my pd is dec 2005 and i was also asked to submit the same requirements as yours. the reason why we are being ask to resubmit ds230 because those ds230 filed between the months of aug-sept 2006 we're now considered void or expired.maybe your ds230 were filed during those months.
I recieved an email from the NVC that I have to submit updated DS230 and the NBI clearance.
My lawyer's law office said I must course it through them since they have the barcode. My problem is the law office is asking AGAIN for my and my dependent's birth certificates. I have no copy yet of these certificates (original or authenticated in security paper). Do I also have to submit these even though what I know is that they do not expire unlike the NBI and the DS230 itself?
Hi! I agree with donty, you have to comply with what the lawyer is asking you. You'll never know, it could cause you delays with incomplete docs, though my lawyer did not ask me to submit a new birth and marriage cert. I guess each case is diiferent.

Hi Leis23! I found out that NVC received my updated DS230 and docs when i called the nvc automated system. My employer mailed the docs to nvc last June 29, 2007. So I guess, it's taking NVC around 4-5 working days to sort out their mails. :)
hey. its pretty neirelle...i received tha same message...Why 6 to 8 wks while others will wait 2 to 4 wks...just asking.....hope i will be clear regarding this matter.thanks guys.

Hi fruity! Actually, I also get the same message "case will be reviewed in 6-8 wks." But if you email the nvc, they usually say that your case will be reviewed in 2-4 wks. My case was completed before the retro in just 7 working days...I hope it will be the same this time. let's just continue to pray for our cases to be completed in the soonest time. God bless!
do u really believe those with updated ds230s and early priority dates can or might have inteview skeds in the following days?:idea:im still crossing my fingers...hoping for miracles...don't wanna be forced to apply to another foreign country.
