NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Hi Lana80! Do you mean to say you have just received your packet 4 as in last week? Does this mean NVC has resumed scheduling interviews which they stopped due to retrogression? How did this happen with no visas created yet? I'm confused but happily confused for you lana.

Suzanne, can you shed light on this? Thanks.

i think it is because Lana80 is not from the PIC countries. :-) there is no retrogression if you do not belong to the PIC (phil., india and china) countries.

But from the visa bulletin: when retrogresion kicked in last November 1, 2006, it applied not only in PIC but all other countries as well. That's why even UK nurses got stuck at packet 3. But then for the latest Mar 2007 bulletin, Schedule does not even exist anymore.

hi, are you sure the UK nurses are not Philippine-born nurses? They still belong to the PIC countries even if they are based in UK. The country of birth is still the basis. :-) So, they will be affected by retrogression.

The nurse is from Israel and is not from the PIC countries and look at the date that her file was completed. It was done before the retrogression went into existance. Meaning that there were still visas left and remember that the number of visas that a country gets is also based on the number that are applying for it from there. Not as many from Israel as the others.

The retrogression went into effect for all the first of November. Visa numbers are reserved when the file is complete and not before. That is how she got it done.

yup. i agree with Suzanne. I had a much earlier date of completion than her but I belong to the PIC countries, so I got affected by retrogression.

my date of completion is September 29, 2006. :( hopefully, new visas will be available for the PIC country nurses. Good luck to all of us. And congrats to Lana80. :)

Me too...my NVC was completed September 26,2006. I'm Happy for you Lanao80. Goodluck!
