NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

From USCIS, your papers will be forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign a case number for you. Have you filled up the forms like DS230 part 1 and 2? have you submitted your police/NBI clearances? Those are some of the requirements/documents needed to complete your case in the NVC.

also due to retrogression is a case of wait, wait and wait some more for visas to be sorted. NVC will process your stuff as far as packet 3

what if your packet 3 was already completed are they going to send it to US Embassy for packet 4 with out interview date or packet 3 will remain at the NVC? thanks :)

thanxs for the reply!

i already filled out forms like ds230 but i think that's the copy of my agency not the one from NVC. do i also need to fill out ds230 from NVC?

i will be submitting my NBI clearance next week but not police clearance. do i need to bring it also?

thank you very much!

The one you submitted to your agency will be the ones that will be submitted to NVC.

If you never worked outside the Phil. the NBI clearance is suppose to be the only one that should be submitted. I don't know why some agencies require this.

thank you for the reply!

what's next after submitting the ds230 form, nbi clearance and visa fee bill to the NVC?

Packet 4 - Medicals and Interview at US embassy

You will not receive your Packet 4 until such time a visa is available and NVC will schedulee an interview date for you.

thanks rep and silver dragon for your reply. another question is how would i know if nvc already completed my packet 3? when i emailed them 1st week of november they said that i should wait for at least 2-4 weeks to completely reviewed my case. documentation checklist was received by nvc november 3. will nvc inform me or my attorney if they already completely reviewed my case? im hopeful that retrogression will not be that long. i emailed nvc last week this is what they said..

dear sir or madam,

your inquiry has been received at the national visa center (nvc).

this petition is not yet eligible for further processing. the petition will be retained at the nvc until a visa number is available. the petitioner, beneficiary, or attorney of record will be notified when further consideration can be given to processing this petition.

the petition's priority date determines when a visa number is available for the beneficiary. the priority date is the date when the petition was filed at a department of homeland security (dhs) office or submitted to an embassy or consulate abroad. in employment immigration the priority date may be the date the labor certification application was received by the department of labor (dol). you may call (202) 663-1541 or visit our website at [color=#003399]http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi_bulletin.html for priority dates being processed.

the beneficiary should not make any firm plans, such as disposing of property, giving up jobs, or making travel arrangements at this time.

regards,

basically you are now in a waiting game, everything has been processed as far as it can at the moment and you know have to wait for a visa to be allocated to you, your file may be sent to the embassy and then allocated a number or it will stay at NVC until a number is available for you. You will then be notified on medical and interview date. What you recieved from NVC is what I have also recieved

ok i got it..so my case will stay at NVC and will send me packet 4 if there's a visa available for me. but i dont know if my packet 3 is already completed or not. how will i know if my case is already completed? thanks Silverdragon.

You will know your case is completed because you are sent for packet 4, if there are any documents required for further information on packet 3 they will contact your lawyer. Otherwise your file will just stay where it is until visa allocated to you

Your welcome
