Lisa Arends study guides

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hello....1st time poster....I have been reading a lot and have found good info here...I am an EC student and still have concepts 3-7 and the cpne left, all else is done....Really worrying about the cpne with all the horror novels written....

I found some ppl writing about taking the arends course, and then i happened to find her Ebay store selling of all her study guide material and was wondering if any1 has used them and how it helped? I used the search function but did not find anything on the forums regarding this....Thanks a lot every1 in advance.... =)

I DO think her comment was meant to offend. This woman is a bear, God forbid you should offer "constructive criticism" she'll bite your head off. In her opinion - she makes NO errors, is perfect and is the ONLY one who will ever pass the exams with honors. I, personally, will never give her the time of day. If you have a problem with her material, she does her best to make you feel like an idiot. She insists on a full name & address so she can google each person - and check to see what license you hold. Kind of nosy if you ask me. Not to mention, all her material is from 4-5 years ago and 80% of it can be downloaded for free from the Yahoo groups. - That's my experience and opinion.

Oh boy, oh boy  so is it better to purchase the studygroup101 notes, yes I do see I have Lisa Arends notes as well but sometimes its just best to look over the mistakes you never know the correct things might be of good help.

Honestly, it is better to take the $10 and buy the next older edition of the recommended textbook instead of notes, but that is my opinion! Then you will have no question as to decently accurate correctness.

Not familiar with Lisa's notes, but I just bought the studygroup101 CD with NC 1-7 (new curriculum names/info) for $50. I would say it was WELL worth the money!

Specializes in Critical Care; Skin Management.

I know many of you have posted that you have used Lisa Arends study notes for the LPN-RN program, so I'm hoping that you could help. I can open the notes and outlines on the NC1 disk, but when I try to open up the practice exams and quizzes it tells me that I have a I/O error. Other sections tell me that the file is damaged and cannot be repaired. Have any of you had this problem? I have e-mailed her but have not heard back as of yet. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Sounds like you got a bad CD!
