Anyone know of a Stats class that is completely online?

Hate math, but know I need to to take a stats class, nothing else bothers me, but math....agh! I am assuming I can take a stats class from a community college (much cheaper) and it would apply (hopefully) towards some of the schools I am thinking about for my BSN. Thanks for any info.

I took Excelsior college's stats class on-line. It wasn't a test out class but an entire semester on-line with an instructor. It was difficult but doable. The class was around $800.00. I haven't had any trouble with other universities accepting the credit.

i'm not very good in math either. i started out in the summer with a online stats class and had to drop cause it was to much . i got my whole aas online ,but this class for me is for the classroom....complicated

Thanks, I was hoping to do it online via any community college since it would be cheaper. Only class I fear is stats.

I took stats (the math course version, not the psych course version) from Rio Salado College. It was tough (I'm not good at math). I got a "C", so not terrible for the math challenged.

It was an ok class. You have to watch videos and be very careful that you round your numbers exactly the way that they were keyed into the tests.:uhoh3:

Thanks for this info. I am horrible at math, just never enjoyed it like I do other classes. Maybe videos would be good for me.:uhoh3:

I took Stats last spring. I have never been good at math, it's like a foreign language to me sometimes. If math is difficult for you, I would suggest NOT taking an online class.

I did manage to do well in the class but it was still challenging, even with a teacher that treated us like elementary school students by spelling everything out, step by step, over and over! There was no way I would have passed it if I had taken it online.

If you are still interested in an online class, I believe the community college I took it at does have an online stats class. It's Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton, VA. I do not know anyone who has taken online/distance ed classes thru this school so I am not sure how they work.

Good luck to ya!

I did take Statistics online at City College San Francisco. It is a community college, 18 week semester. If you go to their website www.ccsf.edu, you can search under online classes.

Lizzy, what state are you in? the only way that you are going to get a good community college rate is if you are a resident of that state. If you live in Florida, you should check our St. Petersburg College.
