Nursing graduation ideas - unique situation

My mom and I will be graduating from nursing school next Friday. We have been through so much together, in life and in school. I want to get her something really special for graduation to let her know how proud I am of what she has accomplished. For some reason, my mind keeps coming up blank. The only thing I can think of is a locket with a picture of her mother, who died in August a and was a nurse, inside of it. But that feels generic. Any ideas?? I'm desperate!!

I think it sounds lovely. Maybe get a double locket with your graduation picture in it too, or even a tri-fold one so you can get all three of you together. Get two, so you'll have one for yourself.

OP, that is a fantastic idea! Your mother must miss her own mother terribly and more so during a special moment like graduating from school. I think it's the perfect idea!

I think the locket is a wonderful idea. 'elprup' is right, Etsy has FANTASTIC hand made jewelry!

Also, you don't have to literally have a picture of her mother to remind her...it can be a phrase engraved or a simple heart. I only bring this up because I personally do not take my jewelry off to shower/sleep/etc.so I don't like to wear jewelry like a locket that might get ruined in the shower.

Thank you all so much for the ideas. I decided to buy her a locker bracelet and will be putting a picture of her and I on one side and a picture of my Gram on the other side. Again, thanks so much! I appreciate the thoughts :)
