You know how you have that one favorite pen that fits just right in your hand and writes so smoothly? You get very attached to it....and then, much to your dismay it seems to grow legs and disappears. Be prepared by stocking up so you'll always have a backup.

I just use the cheap stick pens the hospital provides...unless a nephrologist leaves one of their office pens up here, they have good pens. But spend good drinking money on a pen?? NEVER!!

Pilot Precise v5 retractables... always in black. Used them waiting tables and all through clinicals. I'm reluctant to lend them out, and manage to hang onto them by keeping a less-valuable pen or two in my apron or scrubs for when people need them. I also keep costs down with refill cartridges (saving a little drinking money).

PILOT ball-point click ink (not gel)....they come 2 to a pkg and sometimes they are immediately sold out at both CVS and Walmart, so I am not the only one who likes them!

Pilot .38mm to write on the tiny spaces in a paper MAR, Bic 4 color fine point for everything else. They are both pretty hard to find around here, so when I do find them, I pretty much guard them with my life!

I thought my husband was crazy when he goes bananas about not being able to find a pen that he likes the "feel" to when writing with it. Heck, when I'm in a hurry and I need to jot down something on scratch paper so that I don't forget it, my child's crayon will do. Now I see he's not crazy and there are many people who have a preferred pen☺️

I love my RSVP pens in Fine point either blue or black ink. I've been using them since middle school and will continue to do so as long as they exist lol

I have several Cross pen sets, and love them, BUT, they are so thin, it hurts my knuckles to use a skinny per for too long.

Pilot G-2 in blue and black since we do paper charting. I have hunted those down from my coworkers, as those pens are bold and have a nice sharp point.
