I use Amazon several times a month but I try to keep in mind that I don't always need things the next day. I hear that the fulfillment job is grueling and low-paying, so I try to ease up on delivery speed. I am fine with 2-day or Amazon Day, where they save up your orders for a specific weekday.

Not to be a stick in the mud ..but how about we don't buy anything on a day that encourages consumerism by a company that encourages maximum productivity with minimal pay, including denying accomodations for a pregnant woman during work. We all use Amazon, it's hard to get around it....let's not advertise for them too.

Prime Day is more about marketing than anything else. I have Prime but if I take the time to shop around I can usually find a better price for what I need.

I refer pts to Amazon all the time as many live in rural areas where in-store shopping is not readily available.

This can be a useful tool for pts that can't shop due to frailty or mobility issues or lack of accessible transportation.

I have to say - I'm really surprised at how easy it was to set up.

It's basically 3 steps...

  1. Download Blink App to phone
  2. Connect the sync module (connects to your wifi)
  3. Add Camera(s)

Adding the sync module and cameras is easy to do. Just scan the barcode found on each and the app will do everything. That's it.

I'm going to buy at least 2 more cameras @ $59.99 each.

Amazon is so easy and convenient, but I'm trying to make a more concerted effort to buy locally. Luckily I'm in a position to drive to local businesses and pay the going prices and I know everyone isn't in that boat. So I do feel a responsibility to my community. To each his own.
