Location: Massachusetts
Experience: Just about 3 years; BSN
Specialty: ED
Facility: Large urban hospital
Base Pay: $33 and some coin
Differentials: Evening, night & weekend = $3, $2 and $3/hr, respectively.
OT: Anything over my regularly scheduled shift is time and a half.

Wow. I even have to pay a co-pay for simple, basic labs. In addition to 40 bucks co-pay, I have to pay 35 more for the co-pay to have my TSH/T4 checked! Lipid panel cost me 112, after insurance paid.

I believe night is $1.25 and weekends is $1.50
1% raises per year, this past year was an additional 1%
No on call pay.
Compensation is low compared to other jobs in the area. But most RNs come for the experience 1-2 years so they can go back to where they came from and get a job.

Experience: 3 years, BSN RN, ANCC Board Certified
Specialty: Med-Surg (looking to transfer to ED in the upcoming year)
Facility: Private teaching hospital
Base Pay: $44 +change/hr (day shift), after certification and BSN it equals to $46 +change/hr
Differential: $2 +change for hours after 4pm and night shift
Shifts: 13 shifts in 4 weeks (12 hour shifts)
OT: Time and a half for hours exceeding 75 in 2 weeks
Holidays: Time and a half
Vacation: 4 weeks and 5 weeks after 5 years of service
Sick Time: 12 days a year
Holidays and Personals: We get 5 holidays and 3 personal which we can use, but at regular rate. If my kids have nothing going on in a certain month, I use a day to cover that 13th shift so I only end up working 12 shifts for that month.
Location: Central NC
Experience: 35 years- BSN
Specialty: GI- CGRN Certified- inpatient and outpatient workload
Facility: 900 bed well respected teaching hospital -major referral center-many very sick patients-many very complicated and innovative procedures-not unusual to have to stay past end of shift for "late nurse" coverage
Base Pay: $36/hour
Differential: Evening shift if you work after 19:00 (about $3/hour)-no BSN diff-no certification diff-
