Nurse pay in Jacksonville?

I was wondering what the average pay rate is in Jacksonville. I'm relocating in the next couple of months. I have 5 years experience. Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know, I talked to their HR today who said it would be 2-3 weeks, but hopefully I will be considered and called back before then!

I just go my RN license (BSN). I am looking for a job in Jacksonville! As a new grad I don't see any hope! They all require some experience and all I have is experience from clinicals and volunteer jobs back in Brazil, where I graduated!

What do I do?! I applied for Baptist, Shands, St Vincent, Mayo, Doc's office everywhere and no luck so far!

Go work in an assisted living/nursing home for a year or two. I know they are not exactly desirable but it will give you experience working in the U.S.

I just recently moved to Jacksonville and got a job at Baptist Health. I was lucky enough to have another offer from Memorial Hospital so I was able to compare and choose the best fit for me. I was told everywhere that Baptist was the best, had the better reputation and the better benefits, but didn't necessarily pay as well as memorial did. Well I found that if you have your BSN Baptist pays just as well if not better. I have 2 years of experience and Memorial offered me $23.92, where Baptist offered me $25.25. Memorial does not offer a differential for a BSN and I think that is where my decision was made easy. Hope this helps someone out there looking to move to Jacksonville, FL! :)

My husband is in the military, and we will likely be moving to Jacksonvillearea in the next few months. I have been looking at the different hospitals in the area, and I am very interested in joining Baptist Health. I am currently working in an ICU setting with my BSN and a little over one year of experience. I have my ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification. Since our orders haven't gone through yet, I am hesitant to apply in the event that we are going to stay at our current base. I have attempted several times to reach one of the nurse recruiters for critical care job positions, but I've been unsuccessful so far. I very thankful that I found your post because you've already answered some of my questions about Baptist. I was hoping that you might be willing to answer a few more questions? 1. How do you like Baptist so far? 2. After applying how long did it take for you to hear back for a job interview? 3. What kind of orientation did they give you to your unit? 4. I'm sure this is dependent on each unit, but what kind of shifts do you work? 5. Do you happen to know if there are shift differentials for nights and weekends? 6. I know this also depends on the unit, but what is the nurse to patient ratio? I have more questions specific to to the critical care units, but hopefully I will finally get through to a nurse recruiter to ask those questions. Thank you for any information you might be able to provide.

Does anyone know about the hiring process at Baptist South. I had an interview that went really well but I haven't heard anything back yet. The status on my profile for the job went from under mgmnt review to applied. I don't know if that's good or not

i would try and get in contact with HR and then the Unit manager from the department you applied. from what i have herd the past 4 months or so this has been the way to seal the deal

I have an interview with Baptist (Jacksonville) in a few weeks, I am curious to know what the new grad starting pay is, as I've been offered $24/hr in southwest florida with my ADN-RN. I just want to know if I should hold out to hear from Baptist before accepting.

You should get something somewhat comparable to that at Baptist. I believe they usually start ADNs off around the $23/hr range, although that may have increased since I graduated last year.

Does the pay also depends on what unit or area you worked in or it is the same for all new grads?
