Greetings!
After binge reading the thread for 2015-2016, I decided it's time to start one for this year. I am a single mother opting to pursue a BSN after a post-quarter life crisis. Because I have multiple degrees, I have just about exhausted all of my financial aid options. I would like to hear from anyone applying for the scholarship. What's your story? What are your stats? Previous applicants and recipients I would like to hear your story too!
Starting at a private nursing school in May (with what little fin. aid I have left)
1 year AmeriCorps
1 year internship at group home for at-risk adolescents
5 years working with Dept. of Corrections (2.5 of which were counseling offenders)
EFC: 544
GPA: 3.9
Community service hours: 45
Location: GA
Anyone know the chances of a Psych DNP student getting the scholarship. I know that's not the first tier. I applied once before for my Accelerated BSN with no luck. I've stalked these post for a while and have never seen a DNP student get selected.
No, it wont show up on credit karma until it updates again. I saw that I had a credco credit check on 7/15 on my equafax report through the "my annual credit report" website, but it has not shown up on "credit karma" yet bc it wont update until tomorrow. If you dont want to wait, try checking the other website! Good luck!
I never gave my stats!
EFC 0
GPA 4.0
13 years of Medical Assisting in CSF primary care.
Volunteer as an Inmate Escort to 12 step meetings in the community for a local substance abuse focused correctional facility for the past 2 years.
Mother of 3. Non traditional. Also, currently working for an eco cleaning service to help pay the bills before I start an ABSN program in the fall.
This is my first round applying I studied the thread from last year pretty ridiculously before I found this one. Very happy to have a group of people that applied this year to talk to! Good luck everyone :)

Oops I posted in the 2015/2016 thread, so I will post it again here.
Im a BSN student (adult returning to school) and CREDCO showed up on my credit report on the 15th!! I'm very excited and very much in need of this scholarship. I can't wait to hear some good news for all of us!
