After binge reading the thread for 2015-2016, I decided it's time to start one for this year. I am a single mother opting to pursue a BSN after a post-quarter life crisis. Because I have multiple degrees, I have just about exhausted all of my financial aid options. I would like to hear from anyone applying for the scholarship. What's your story? What are your stats? Previous applicants and recipients I would like to hear your story too!
Starting at a private nursing school in May (with what little fin. aid I have left)
1 year AmeriCorps
1 year internship at group home for at-risk adolescents
5 years working with Dept. of Corrections (2.5 of which were counseling offenders)
I got a credit check today from CREDCO, end user text HRSA - NHSC LRP AND. Application status still under review. I don't know how many of you have received a credit checks yet so I don't know how to feel about this yet. *fingers crossed*. I'll keep you all updated!
Credit check from CREDCO::HRSA - NHSC LRP on 7/15! This came up for me using the "my annual credit report" website under the Equifax report. My next "credit karma" reports is will be available in 3 days so I'll let you all know if it shows up there too. My application still says its "under review". Good luck everyone!

Yay great news! I keep seeing people getting their credit checked and mine doesnt update until tomorrow hahaha hopefully ill have good news too! Great way to start the week :)
Sorry not to be an over-poster but according to previous years forums for NHSC and NC, traditionally speaking when the site is down for maintenance, there are sometimes updates that show up afterwards like changing from applicant to participant or something of the sort. The site is scheduled for maintenance Monday night.
Oh I'm so excited to find this thread! I've been posting in last years. Glad to see other people going through this too! My credit was pulled on 7/15! I am praying that the updated maintenance tonight is for award emails to go out. It seems as though this is easier then last year. On their thread they many didn't get credit checks until 729-7/30. I am happy it's a little early, this is so stressful!

is there a history of maintenance and then followed by award emails? I'm just still assuming I didn't get it until that status changes on my application so I don't get crushed! haha. I think last year it was about a week or so until anyone found out. so the timing would add up!
It's difficult because there are two scholarships but one site. My guess is tonight's maintenance will be NHSC award emails since credit was checked for that scholarship over a month ago and that NC scholarship will be a bit longer wait since credit was just checked.
