Hi everyone,
I am currently working on the application for the nurse corps repayment program 2015 and I need some help from someone who has also done this process before.
My question is in regards to the documents you have to upload:
1# Authorization to Release Information, Authorization to Release Employment Information- Do you print these off, sign, scan, and then upload to the site?
2# Curriculum Vitae/Resume- is this just a basic resume stating your current position you hold, and do you address it to the Nurse Corps??
3# Finally, proof of citizenship can I just scan my drivers license and then upload it to the application???
I would appreciate all insight please, I want to make sure I get this right the first time. Thanks ahead of time for looking I really do appreciate it.

Hi all! I received the finalist letter last week. I dont understand the tiers all too much. I believe my hospital is nonprofit but idk where that falls. I cannot figure out where I lay in the mix at this point. Help?
You can determine your facility's tier status (along with all sorts of other information about the process) in the Application and Program Guidance handbook available at http://www.hrsa.gov/loanscholarships/repayment/nursing/
Dear MPH to FNP when you say you received an award packet was that through the mail or in the portal? Did it have the same amount as they initially stated on the finalist page? Also how does the process work from your understanding at this time? Sorry for so many questions I am so nervous and patiently waiting a response received my finalist email on the 31st
larathenurse,
The award packet was through the portal.
They go by the loan balance from the date you submitted the application
The money will be direct deposited the month after the award month.
The service period ends 2 years from the award date.
Need to submit a service verification every 6 months.
Hope that helps!
So I signed in and looked at my contract and it now says it was signed by the "OFAM approver" I am assuming this is now officially countersigned??? OH, and on the site it shows that my hospital is a nonprofit, non-disproportionate share hospital (which is a tier 4!) So I just want to extend the excitement to those that were worried about not being approved in a lower tier! :)
Kate B- do you know your debt to loan ratio? Just ask as you give me hope . I am tier 2 or tier 4 (not sure if I am disp share or non disp share) and an NP. You are a RN correct? Exciting to see someone in a tier 4 get it... you must have some crazy ratio!!! If you are willing to share that would help us all out here guessing what a ratio for a tier 4 needs to look like!
If I am doing the math correct my D/I is about 175%. Also if you log into the portal and click on your site name under employment verification, it shows what type of hospital you are working with. :) I am possibly moving soon, so I am super worried about making sure my next site is still included! Lots of research to be done! :)

gleanns - Per the application, they have until September 30 to give out notifications. If you do not receive some notification by that time, then you most likely did not get it. From my understanding, they will tell you by September 30 if you were denied.
