  1. Public hospital falls between tier 1-3 accordiing to the site. Im those tiers it then breaks down by your score. W Look at the program guidance pdf page 16
  2. If you read the program guidance theres a chart of the tiers based on the types of hospitals. Not just by nonprofit status. Page 16 of the pamphlet.
  3. Log in to your account and click on your site name under employment verification. Read thru those and it says
  4. I recieved my welcome kit today after being signes yesterday! Very quick! And according to the program guide it shows non profit nondisproportionate as tier 4 no matter what the hspa score it. So that is just my understanding!
  5. If I am doing the math correct my D/I is about 175%. Also if you log into the portal and click on your site name under employment verification, it shows what type of hospital you are working with. :) I am possibly moving soon, so I am super worried about making sure my next site is still included! Lots of research to be done! :)
  6. So I signed in and looked at my contract and it now says it was signed by the "OFAM approver" I am assuming this is now officially countersigned??? OH, and on the site it shows that my hospital is a nonprofit, non-disproportionate share hospital (which is a tier 4!) So I just want to extend the excitement to those that were worried about not being approved in a lower tier! :)
  7. Hi all! I received the finalist letter last week. I dont understand the tiers all too much. I believe my hospital is nonprofit but idk where that falls. I cannot figure out where I lay in the mix at this point. Help?
  8. Hi everybody! I am currently a nurse of 1 year on a general pediatric unit that does not take very critical patients as our hospital doesnt have a PICU. most tougher cases get trasferred while in ED. My dream has always been to work in pediatric oncology. I have started applying at a childrens hospital to get my foot in the door and applied for a PICU position not expecting to hear so quick. They called me today to set up a phone interview! Well now i am nervous! Our unit tends to be slow since most get transferred, and I feel like over this past year I've lost that energy and feel like I dont have the skills needed in a picu position!! I want to present myself well in the interview but very nervous! I feel like I would get this energy back I hope if i am given this type of position, but very overwhelmed just thinking about it. What if I don't have the skills or critical thinking I had when I was in nursing school!? What if i dont catch on? And will I any practice for pediatric oncology?! Will that transition well in my future? Very nervous and scared now! But I wouldn't want to pass this opportunity up just on the basis of fear! Any advice? Or should i just keep waiting until something opens up in feneral pediatrics or oncology?? HELP!
  9. Pediatric Oncology! love the way the kids are open to being hopeful and joyful even in this hard time. And I love working with the family unit! :)
  10. I questioned that too..I ended up doing 4 references for now. 2 academic, 2 occupational. Hope its enough!
  11. The biggest thing im concerned with is the gpa..our program has a rep for low gpas because they sometimes set unrealistic goals. So we'll see what they think of it..
  12. Working on the first application! so nervous i'm tweaking my cover letter repeatedly. I'm going for pediatrics!! :)
