Nurse Corps loan repayment 2015

Published

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on the application for the nurse corps repayment program 2015 and I need some help from someone who has also done this process before.

My question is in regards to the documents you have to upload:

1# Authorization to Release Information, Authorization to Release Employment Information- Do you print these off, sign, scan, and then upload to the site?

2# Curriculum Vitae/Resume- is this just a basic resume stating your current position you hold, and do you address it to the Nurse Corps??

3# Finally, proof of citizenship can I just scan my drivers license and then upload it to the application???

I would appreciate all insight please, I want to make sure I get this right the first time. Thanks ahead of time for looking I really do appreciate it.

I got my acceptance packet today!! Np in Chicago at a tier one facility. Just curious, how does everyone expect to disburse the monet to their different loans?

I so missed that piece of info.... I'm so out. I'm in tier 4 with hspa score of 21. Non profit, non disp. share hosp falls into tier4.

Congrats to everyone who has been officially accepted! Very exciting! Has anyone else who got their finalist email on 7/28 heard anything else yet? I'm starting to get nervous. I called HRSA today and they just gave me the generic "You'll hear by September 30th" answer. I'm just wondering why so many people who got their finalist letter after me have already gotten their welcome packet and I haven't. My thoughts are that it could be either 1. My application is in a different stack than most here because I work for the government/local health department and not a hospital and whoever is working on those applications is a little slower or 2. There was a problem with my application and I won't get the award. The person I spoke to on the phone said that being a finalist means you met the requirements and there weren't any problems with the application, so I don't know what to think. My Credco credit check is also showing up from 3/26/15 on Credit Karma too which is kind of strange and makes me think my application is in a different stack or something. It's been almost 4 weeks since my finalist email and the wait is killing me! I just keep running all the possible scenarios through my mind. Any thoughts?

I think it may take longer If your site takes a while to reply to their verification request. Just guessing. I got my second signature exactly 2 weeks after i got the finalist email and received my welcome packet a day after that. Did you check to see if there's a second signature already?

Yeah I've been checking for the second signature more often than I would like to admit! I just asked my boss if she got any emails or calls asking to verify my employment again in the last few weeks and she said she hasn't. Hopefully it didn't fall through the cracks!

They don't call your boss. They have a designated point of contact for the whole hospital that they contact. Probably in HR. Try calling them maybe? Really hope you get it very soon. The wait is agonizing!

I do know that my boss is definitely the point of contact. I work at a small satellite health department clinic with 5 nurses and my location wasn't in the HRSA system when I applied so I had to enter the site and put my boss (nurse manager) as the point of contact because we have no HR at my office's actual physical location. She did the initial employment verification when I applied with no problems. Thanks for the advice and encouragement though, it is much appreciated!

I was notified of being a finalist on 7/22 and have not heard anything since then. Very agonizing wait. Can anyone confirm if our site administrator is responsible for verifying our job status for a second time? When I first started my application, my site administrator completed her part within an hour of my inputting my job information so I cannot imagine she has ignored this new email (if there is one) for the past several weeks. She is very on top of this stuff for our providers here, so I would rather confirm before bothering her with an email.

I'm in the same boat. Still waiting... My manager is also very on top of it and went through her emails from the last 2 months but didn't see anything from HRSA. When I called HRSA last week they said that verifying everything is part of the final review process and said she should look out for calls or emails but the person I spoke to was kind of cryptic about it.. No "they will definitely get a call" and no idea of the timeframe. What kind of facility do you work in SCNP2B?

I work at an ambulatory FQHC in Los Angeles County; so seeing 20-23 patients a day, lots of chronic illness management, tier 2.

I got notification of the award being finalized this morning as soon as I started clinic and it took all of my patience not to sign in and start going through documents. About to start now that my morning is done. A friend and classmate who was in the same boat texted me that she also got notification this morning. Any word yet?

does anyone know of someone being notified this late about being a finalist? Im still hopeful, but wondering if at this point they are just finalizing signatures ect.

@SCNP2B congrats!! I just logged on to the portal and saw that the HRSA secretary signed my contract at 10am today, so I guess I can be expecting my welcome packet in the next day or so. What a relief after an agonizing 30 day wait!
