Nurse Corps loan repayment 2015

Published

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on the application for the nurse corps repayment program 2015 and I need some help from someone who has also done this process before.

My question is in regards to the documents you have to upload:

1# Authorization to Release Information, Authorization to Release Employment Information- Do you print these off, sign, scan, and then upload to the site?

2# Curriculum Vitae/Resume- is this just a basic resume stating your current position you hold, and do you address it to the Nurse Corps??

3# Finally, proof of citizenship can I just scan my drivers license and then upload it to the application???

I would appreciate all insight please, I want to make sure I get this right the first time. Thanks ahead of time for looking I really do appreciate it.

has anyone received denial letter? i know its very disappointing question but i am just curious as they mentioned on the phone that they have sent denial letters as well

I did not receive a denial email, but upon logging on to our HRSA portal today, it states that I was "not selected for award". It stated that there was not enough funds. Oh well... that's strike 3 for me! :(

Congrats again to those whom received awards!!!

denial email today.

Another denial candidate :(

Denied again. So frustrated

Regarding the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment in general:

If a hospital is a designated CAH, in a town with a primary care score of 0 and a mental health score of 16, could an NP qualify for repayment by working for the CAH? Even if the mental health score of 16 is listed for the mental health clinic in the same town? Or would only NPs working at the mental health clinic qualify for repayment?

Is it difficult

Those of you who were awarded the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program:

How does the 3rd year work?

When do you apply for the third year?

Do you automatically get awarded, has any one been denied?

How often do you verify your payments have been applied to the loans, every 6 months?

Thanks in advance for you comments. Not a lot of people talk about the continuation.
