  1. I've recently started doing home visits on the side. Some companys call them Medicare home assessments, or I Know United Healthcare has an entire program for NPs doing Home visits for their members. I'm Currently doing BCBS assessments. Each assessment takes 45min to an hour. You make $100+ per visit. More for any labs done in the home. I work in primary care 4 days a week (Not full days) and do the assessments either before or after work or on weekends depending on if I need to make extra money for a trip, Christmas ect.. My full time clinic job is paying off my student loans or else I would probably do the home visits full time. I would make way more. ($100+/hr) I know for full time employees they offer $130 per assessment. Downside is no benefits but its so flexible. You log in to the calendar and put the days and hours you're willing to work and they schedule appointments based on your availability.
  2. If you didn't provide the service you shouldn't be signing the notes. If the patient comes back with a problem and decides to sue, the lawyer is going to come after YOU because your name is on the note. The chiropractors I worked with for that short time were soooo shady! They basically just wanted to use us NPs for our prescriptive authority. I lasted 2 wks and still had My RN job to fall back on until I found another NP job. You worked wayyyyyyyyy too hard for this degree to jeopardize it. Run fast!
  3. I don't have a plan yet. Lol. Did you notice how much they take out in taxes??!!! It ends up being no where near 60% repayment
  4. I got my acceptance packet today!! Np in Chicago at a tier one facility. Just curious, how does everyone expect to disburse the monet to their different loans?
  5. I got mine too!!!!! Congrats! !!! How do u plan on disbursing the money to your different loans?
  6. Congrats rossin!!!!! I figured you would get an email today. Our situations are very similar. I'm sooooo happy for us all!! So far I haven't heard of anyone not getting it after the acceptance email. Keep me posted on when u get your app cosigned and welcome packet!
  7. After taxes and the 3 yrs, abt what percentage of your loan were you able to pay off?
  8. I got my email this morning! Sooooo ironic! I'm at a tier one facility in Chicago. Debt to income ratio is a little under 100% good luck everyone!!! Keep us updated!
  9. I'll let you kno if i hear anything. It seems like alot of RNs heard already but not many APNs. It's weird this year
  10. Rossin83 have u heard anything yet? I'm an NP also with about the same debt to income. I haven't heard anything. And I only know of one other np that got it so far
  11. Has anyone else heard anything? MPH to FNP is the only person I've heard that has a response so far. just wondering if there are any others out there. I'm an NP in Chicago with a debt/income ratio of abt 100% and i havent heard anything either.
  12. I broke down and called nurse corps customer service last week. They said they haven't started sending out rewards yet. She said hopefully they will be starting in the next couple weeks. This waiting is awful!
  13. Anyone heard anything yet?
  14. Still no word???? I know its still relatively early but I'm starting to worry. Alot of people last yr heard something in May
  15. Im still under review also. My score is 19 and ratio 86%. I remember reading a thread where nps were notified first and normally started hearing something end of may/early june. Hopefully we hear something soon
