Nurse Corps loan repayment 2015

Published

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on the application for the nurse corps repayment program 2015 and I need some help from someone who has also done this process before.

My question is in regards to the documents you have to upload:

1# Authorization to Release Information, Authorization to Release Employment Information- Do you print these off, sign, scan, and then upload to the site?

2# Curriculum Vitae/Resume- is this just a basic resume stating your current position you hold, and do you address it to the Nurse Corps??

3# Finally, proof of citizenship can I just scan my drivers license and then upload it to the application???

I would appreciate all insight please, I want to make sure I get this right the first time. Thanks ahead of time for looking I really do appreciate it.

Does anyone know if they work thru the applications in the order they came in? My application was submitted very near the deadline due to technical issues on their side.

Does anyone know if they have sent out any denials? I am wondering if everyone stays under review until the deadline unless you get awarded, or do they give out denials right now also.

I was wondering the same thing...

I'm kind of scratching my head here... I'm an BSN RN with a 207% DTI, I work at a non-profit DHS hospital, and my hrsa score is 16 for mental health. All these put me in tier one... I do not have a credit check from HRSA/Credco on any bureau or credit karma... I don't know what to say.

Same thing happened to me last year, I'm at a facility with a score of 17 and a DTI >200%, but I was not selected. I did get a credit check, but was told last year that everyone who met basic requirements got one, which does not seem to be the case this year.

I ultimately decided not to apply again because I had to drop to part time status at work, but I've heard some people applied 2-3 years in a row until they were selected. If you don't get it this year, keep trying!

Hello everyone. My contract was countersigned on July 31,2015 about 3 weeks after I signed it. I did receive a welcome letter on Aug. 6th. and noted a change in my log on screen to scholars and clinicians. It further states I am a participant and no longer an applicant. I applied in early March for the NHSC Loan repayment program. My facility score is 17. I hope that helps some of you who are wondering.

I am a MSN nurse practitioner with a D:I ratio of over 200% at a tier 2 clinic in Los Angeles County, with disadvantaged background. Was notified 7/22/15 of award and signed the same day. My contract has not been signed yet as of 5 minutes ago; I check about once a day. Very nervous about all of this. Graduated May 2014, so this is my first year applying

Specializes in ER.

last year I did not get a denial letter until the very last day:( I guess they also hold out hope that they will have more funding

Hi Gina, congrats on your award. Just want to clarify - you are a NHSC LRP recipient, not Nurse Corp, correct? Did your welcome packet state when you should expect to receive your first month's stipend?

Yay! I got my initial e-mail notification today and signed a contract. It was clear that it was "not a guarantee of funding" but I'm excited nonetheless!

What is "the very last day"?? What is the cutoff date?
