Hi Everyone,
I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

Congrats! Could you state the exact email address your email came from?
Just one employment verification as well as one credit check. However when I "accept" the award I have to verify I am still working at the hospital I listed on my application. I received an email from [email protected] titled "NURSE Corps Loan Repayment Program Application Update [ACTION REQUIRED]". So I logged in on the website and the application status had been changed to say finalist for award.

Omg thank you! That was really helpful. I appreciate your quick response. ??????

There are threads of previous years where some did not get it after being a finalist. Not that I obsessively read back every single post ???

Haha I was trying to but I could only find a post from 2014 ?? okay I’ll try not to get my hopes up too much ? my minimum monthly payment is $2,000 so it would be a godsend
Congrats to the finalists!! May the funding odds be ever in your favor!
Question as one of the nervous people awaiting a reply: How does Nurse Corps/NHSC obtain your income info to calculate DTI? I just reviewed my application and my salary isn’t anywhere in there. It doesn’t look like it’s part of the employer verification, either. I ask because I’m in the fortunate position that my salary has increased since I applied - really amazing, very grateful, but I realized that decreases my DTI (still >100% but not as competitive as it had been).
I too am waiting anxiously to see if I get that email. Dumb question, but how did you know they did an employment verification? Or are we just talking about the initial one we did when we applied? I am also curious about the income/DTI question.
Congrats to those who got selected, and heres to hoping for the rest of us!
(DTI 105%, Score 17) - this puts me in tier 1, although I fully understand that once you qualify in the same tier as someone else, the DTI takes precedence so my chances are low even though I am in tier 1. Applied as a staff nurse working @ CSF.

Kourtney, did you get a second employment verification or just one? Congrats on the finalist!
