2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Published

Hi Everyone,

I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

Has anyone had any issues loggin in? I keep getting an error message and can't get through on the phone due to the wait times. I'm assuming this is a generalized issue?

Haven't had a hard time logging in just can't seem to access my loan report ... it is not working and haven't had any luck the last couple of days. I hope I figure it out or I can't move on with the application =(

This is my 2nd year applying. Good luck everyone!

Same! I am having the same trouble with the loan report and it is going to be terrible to have to enter all that information manually. I have applied two years previously and never had any trouble. I have called and can't seem to get any answer or support for this issue.

I was just denied because they said my site did not meet the HPSA guidelines. I thought that since I work for the US. Department of Veterans Affairs that it automatically qualified. Spoke to two representatives on two different occasions who state I am correct, however the HPSA contact in my area said no, because of the location. This is my third year applying. Totally bummed.

Hi everyone, I'm just a student so please forgive my ignorance. Can anyone explain to me how the HPSA score is determined? Is it by specific area (city, zipcode, ect), hospital (Genreal hospital has one score but the private hospital across the street has a different score)? I'd love to participate in this one day, but I am very confused. I'm sure my area/ hospital will qualify somehow though because I currently work in a very needy area in Baltimore City.

UGH! yes i am still not able to access it. I tried manually entering the info last year and was just not able to figure it out, making information match! this sucks. I really wonder what the problem is, it must be an issue with their website.

Just submitted my application. Second year applying. Hoping to hear good news this year! HPSA 11. I think I submitted my consolidation loan information wrong last year.

Hello Everyone,

I am a Registered nurse, and this is my first year applying. I Submitted my Application 3/11, HPSA score 20. Praying I am fortunate enough to gain this opportunity. Good luck to everyone!!

Did you have federal loans that you uploaded from the NSLDS site? I have tried again and keep getting an error message. This is my third year applying and have never had this trouble before.

Hello,

Yes I have lots of federal loans ? that i uploaded using the site, and I did not have trouble. However, my coworker also received an error message and had to enter her loan information individually. Not sure what the glitch is.
