Hi Everyone,
I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

Thank you for this! I have been patiently waiting to hear (2nd year applying) and the end wait is killing me. I was starting to lose hope seeing others already got their e-mails. I'll keep the hope alive!

Hello everyone,
I was in your shoes last year and was chosen a few days before the deadline. Keep your hopes up. It was my fourth year applying. I wanted to share some insight with you guys. My DTI was 121 and my hospital score was 16. Most of debt was private (sallie mae and Navient). My coworker and I both were selected, the other day we had a lunch date and she expressed that she hasnt seen much of an improvement in her loan debt and I was surprised because I have. The dfference is she stopped making the monthly payments she was sending before the grant and I used the grant to supplement what I was paying monthly.
I just wanted to share this, so that some of you won't make the same mistake that she did. Also, if you do not get it this year - keep applying! Do not lose hope. The first year is the hardest to apply becuase you have to gather so many documents. After the first year, make a folder with all the stuff you submitted and the following year it will take you about 30 minutes. Good luck!
