  1. Hello Kourtney- As a Federal agency operating in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and other US Territories, we do not withhold individual state taxes, only Federal tax and Employee FICA. All loan repayments received after Federal tax withholding must be used by to repay qualifying educational loans, not for taxes. Have a great day! ~BiJon
  2. I called and asked and they said that federal taxes are pulled but no state taxes. And you can’t use any of the money for state taxes. I can quote their reply if you would like.
  3. I’m a staff RN, just received the NCLRP. My DTI is roughly 200%, I don’t know my hospital’s score but I know it puts me in tier 1. This is my first year applying. From what I’ve read they do everything in waves, so don’t give up yet! They still send out awards until the end of September, and people who have gotten their finalist email in September have gotten awarded in the past.
  4. Same as you. original came July 18th, was recalled and resent on August second. Same stats as you as well. Did you receive an email saying your application had a change?
  5. Yay!!! Congrats on hearing officially ? I’ve been anxiously checking the website multiple times a day to see if there’s a counter signature on mine ? Yes in the past people have been finalists and not received anything, not sure how many people that happened too however.
  6. Congratulations!! Can I ask when you received your COI/finalist email? Edit: just kidding, I misread your comment!
  7. How do they have you prove that the money they gave you went to the right loans? I have one loan that I didn’t ask for them to cover but it’s through the same company as my other loans. I wasn’t sure how I’d prove the money they gave me went only to the ones they approved when it just shows that I paid so much each month.
  8. When did people start getting counter signatures last year?
  9. I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily irresponsible borrowing. My loan totals have doubled since I originally took them out because of interest, and I have a good credit score. I can’t imagine people who have worse credits than me and who’s interest is higher. Higher education in general is too expensive, but that’s not our fault.
  10. Same! Thank God. I was so upset earlier when the lady on the phone said it was because there were too many offers. That means there is still hope yet for everyone!
  11. I’m a staff RN, I recalculated my DTI and it’s over 200% ? I owe $200,000 with interest. Hoping it’s just a wording issue.
  12. I just called, the lady said that it means they cancelled the offer. I asked what happened and she said the only thing she can think of is that they offered it to too many people.
