Hey I was wondering who has applied to the Nursing Program @ Nova starting fall 2010?

I would like to know of any updates any one has heard on the process, interviews, etc.

Hey Jerziana29, any luck with the embroidery ? I went to try on the scrubs at a uniform store near my house and I am ususally a M top and L bottom and those fit me fine. Actually they had plenty breathing space too. I have wide hips so they were super lose at the waist but like always I am going to have them tailored. If I buy a M bottom they wont go up my hips = / lol. They didnt have our color RETW but I tried on the styles 4700 for the top and 4101 for the bottom in another color. I am going to try finding a good deal online and hopefully fine a place to do the embroidery.

Hey Katrina, I was just at the bookstore on Wednesday and the lady who checks the sizing for the jackets told me that we can only get the scrubs from Nova because of the copyrighted 'Nova' script. She said that the school will be real strict about the scrubs this year. I asked if we can at least get the pants somewhere else and she said no because the color might be off even if it is the same brand.I know, i was disappointed. This is just another way for them to bleed us dry but what else can we do. Lol. I just thought that I shared this dissapointing news with everyone. By the way, Check your schedule if you have not done so yet because mine was posted on August 3rd.

Hey Karina... i am trying another uniform store tomorrow to see if its cheaper and the bookstore will tell you that they are really strict because thats also what they told me but when you see the embroidery its morificecript nothing fancy at all.... so i am going this weekend again to purchase my other scrubs I already purchased my lab coat you have to pick it up in your main campus but when i called kendal since thats my main campus she said that they never had uniforms delivered there.... maybe i would have to pick it at the NSU bookstore.... grrrrr i hate when they dont give you correct information..

Marcy i am also still saying out of state, they said it will be fixed once we are in orientation.. I also see that class starts the 23 i think thats a mistake because i called today and they confirmed the 30th date for orientation...sooo i dunnnooo hmmmm..... i havent purchased any books yet the kendall site said to wait until orientation but i dunno... i will let you guys know when i get my other uniforms or if my lab coat comes in its status currently says shipping but i dunno where they are shipping it to lol.... grrrrrr its always something with Nova... a couple of more weeks guys and we are in!!!!!

Karina= Hey, I have been so disconnected due to my summer classes (15 credits). I plan on doing all my financial aid form on Monday 8-9-10 along with my background check and immunizations. Can you also send me the information regarding uniforms, please?! I wanted to know ask you if you already know you schedule for spring 2011? any updated information will be completely helpful. I feel so behind. I can't wait for finals to be over and concentration on the important things- NOVA!!! Thanks!!

woo hoo! tomorrow I'm going in to pay the 1000 dollar fee..and hopefully get the ball rolling on my financial aid...i also need to check out the prices for the scrubs..and books..do they send out the book list in the school packet?? any info is appreciated :) thanks to everyone for the congrats! I'm beyond excited.. =)

Hey Giggles,

*No I don't see my schdule and I believe nursekitty begins now in the fall not in the winter. Winters regisration for us doesn't begin untill October 1st.

*About the uniforms the flare drawstring pants with elastic which are the ones for women are by Cherokee style #4101 (for pettite 4101p and tall 4101t) the color is RETW (real teal) it can not be any other color. For top it's style # 4700 color RETW. I spoke to A.O the nursing advisor she said that from now to winter she doesn't see any changes happening in reference to the uniforms and lab coat but that we should atleast wait for them to post our welcome in the orientation section online just to be on the safe side. Jerizana has her first set from Nova already she is shopping around to see if she can get it the embroidery done elsewhere. when she tells me I'll update you.

*As for financial aid I have already been awarded = ), applied for my loans which as well have been approved and recieved the FRAG. I just need to pay the $500.00 remaining to be fully admitted and they will release my funds to my account.

* I am still showing up as an out of state student, IDK why. I called to confirm that they did receive my residency application and they called me back to confirm. She said that it should be update soon... whatever soon is for then.

*I initiated the background check but I think that until you don't upload your immunizations record the file isn't complete. So I have to get my medical records for the... which I just haven't had time for.

I know it's alot of information but I hope it helped. I don't think your behind I think I am just to ahead of myself? lol with everyone elses stories on here i don't want NOVA messing with my future so I am just staying ontop of everything. I have been using the Fall class as my mentors = ) and altough we start a semester after them I am kinda going through the admissions process with them so maybe I can be of help to our winter class = )

Thank you NurseKitty!!! all the info you can share helps regardless which term we start we go through the exact same process = ). so your class gives our class the heads up. Once again thank you to all of the Fall term class that is sharing info to make everyone feel as if we aren't alone in this = )

and about the uniform I am sure they have to tell you that, because what happens when you wash them and they fade a bit? Jerizana bought one for nova and it's the same real teal as in other stores = ) I think as long as they are RETW we are good, even if I find just the bottoms I'll be happy because online they can be as cheap as 10.00 which beats 19 lol sorry I need to save all my pennys lol I'm sure we all do = )
