Hey I was wondering who has applied to the Nursing Program @ Nova starting fall 2010?

I would like to know of any updates any one has heard on the process, interviews, etc.

yes. after nursing school. Its only 20 credits. I just didn't want to burn out before something I really want to do and something I have been waiting for a long time. In the end it will never hurt me to have to bachelors degrees

WOW!! Well at least you got in! I can just imagine how discouraging it must have been for you! Like I said in an earlier post, overall I have a 3.23 and for the pre-reqs Nova requires I have like a 3.5 so I dont know, Im really scared! I know how hard and competitive it is, now more than ever (since everyone wants to be a nurse!!!!). Anyways, I actually did turn my transcripts and reference letters today to one of the recruiters. Hopefully I can get into the program for Spring 2011! Btw, what campus did you get accepted to?

Nova's selection process is so random. I have been admitted to the January 2011 term I am super excited! about getting in but scared b/c of the cost. As far as my essay it was one page and stright to the point I spoke about my college expiriences and explained anything negative on my transcripts, personal expirience with hospital settings, and my drive to join nova and becoming a part of the Nursing community. I have never completed community service at all because I have been working since I was 16. My GPA is a 3.46 and I have never bothered calculating my GPA for nova's req's they are all a's, b's and one c. This was my first time ever appling and I am so great full that I was accepted. oh yeah, my application was complete with all requirements by 6/11/2010 and I rcv'd my email of acceptance on 6/8/2010. I really wish u luck and hang in their I wish you the best of luck with everything. I hope this helps. :nurse:

Yes, it was but in the end I wanted to be a nurse so I just kept trying no matter what till finally I got accepted. I give the same advise to anyone- if your true dream is to be a nurse don't be discourage if you don't get in the first, second, or even third time. Always strive to accomplish your dreams. You have a good GPA, I think the important things are your sciences and pre-reqs. Glad you turned in your transcripts and reference letters to a recruiter. Just continue to check your status and that those items have been checked off on your VIP page. Really hope you also get accepted. I was accepted to the main campus but then I asked to be transferred to the Kendall campus and I was! Thank GOD! Super happy. I live right next to Baptist on Kendall drive so the Nova Kendall Campus is like 10 mins from my house! There is still room in the Nova Kendall Campus so if you applied to the Main Davie campus and are accepted but you are interested in the Kendall campus you can ask to be changed. The nursing recruiter (A.O) can change it for you.

Great! I actually applied to the Kendall Campus since the main campus is waaay too far for me! Hopefully I get in and we can meet and help eachother through nursing school : )

Thanks for the reply! I am so happy for you that you got in! CONGRATS! Anyways I am applying for the January 2011 term as well! I too have all A's and B's and 1 C! However I hope to get in! You said you applied on 6/11 and found out 6/8???? I think you meant you applied on 6/11 and found out on 8/6? Am I right lol? Anyways keep in touch! Btw, what campus were you acccepted into?

LOL OPPPS, what I ment was I submitted my app. 6/11 and rec'd my acceptance 7/8. I was accepted to the main campus, I live equally far from both but there is less traffic in the morning going to davie then Kendall. So for now my minds set for Davie.

Sounds good! So its about a month wait! Did you get a letter, did they call, or did it say you were accepted on the vip page?

They emailed me and then I checked my VIP page and they had it posted on there as well. Thank god it was only a months wait for me but I have heard of it being alot longer for others. I recieved my acceptance package about a week and a half later. you have 14 days from your acceptance date to pay $500 and then until November to pay the other 500.00
