  1. May21 and everyone who wants to know about 1st semester: My first semester of nursing school was fabulous! Yes, it is VERY tough, but totally doable! The only class you reallly need to study for is Physio. This class is very challenging! I want everyone of you to go in with an open mind bc the moment you start doubting yourselves, things go bad. Like I said, it is hard, and you will need to study ALOT but before you know it, its over and done with and your moving on!!! I had to study everyday, minimum 3-4 hours! I recommend you buy a recorder and record her lectures, it helps so MUCH! As for orientation, I was soo nervous I forgot all my forms lol. The good thing is they have all the forms you need. For orientation, go nicely dressed (business attire). NO jeans or flip flops! As for the baptst scholarship, my semester was not offered it unfortunatly. But I do know for yours it is being offered :-) Uniforms I ordered from novas website. Although to save money you can go to uniform advantage and but a real teal cherokee uniforom and have them embroid it. The font I believe is arial. the embroidery reads: Your name and on the second line NSU Nursing student. For the lab coat, dont worry about that too much now if you are short on money. It is not necessary until 2nd semester. My books I got on Amazon. The only book I really needed was my Physio book. Then again, its gonna vary from teacher to teacher. School will usually start the Monday right after orientation. ENJOY your time now because when you start, it will be study study study study lol. Dont worry about not knowing anyone, people are reallly frinedly in nursing school. You will meet people right away! Make sure to pick wisely for study groups! They will help alot. I went through my first semester with a wonderful group!!! Let me know if you need any help. PS: ENY I have you on facebook lol!! Im Jennifer P :-)
  2. Hello everyone! Congrats to all who were accepted!! It is a HUGE accomplisment, and you all should be very proud of yourselves. I remember when I first got my acceptance email and now, well today I just finished my first semester of nursing school. TIME FLYS!! If you guys have any questions on what to expect for your 1 semester, let me know. I would love to help! I am a Kendall student btw :-) Jennifer
  3. Hello everyone!!! We only have 17 days till we start! Hope everyone has a nice and relaxing holiday! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! -Jennifer (Kendall Campus)
  4. If any of you have any questions, here is my person email: [email protected] I'd be more than happy to help!!
  5. Hello AnaB87, I was also accepted into the Kendall Campus. Congratulations on your acceptance!! Unfortunetly, we will have to drive to Fort Lauderdale for the Anatomy/Physiology classes :-( but it is only for the first semester. After that, we will be strictly in Kendall! As for the uniforms, we don't need to have them on for the first semester, we could wear business attire (its what I heard). However, for second semester we do need them! Labcoats I am not sure but I suggest you order them ASAP becuase they take quite some time to get here! We don't need any stethescope yet, at least not until the second semester since we start clinicals then. If you want, send me a message and I will send you my personal email just in case you have any other questions, I would be happy to help; since we are going to be future classmates :-) Jennifer
