Thank you for all of the comments; however, I want to apply for the fall term. I still have to take micro this fall. Right now my GPA is 3.67 hopefully after the summer grades are posted it will go higher.

Karina, let me know if you received my email.... hope my info/pics helped out.... be on top of NOVA ... for EVERYTHING..... even when you are accepted the hell of the process is still the same with admissions... they are behind on everything.... so ensure that all financial aid is being processed, etc. I am still down as an out of state student like some of my other friends..its a glitch they say .... so its still the same as admissions so be on top if you have any questions... goodluck

Jerziana29, sorry I got caught up in the weekend. Yes I got your email and it did help out and it was kind of exciting to see the pics too, yeah kind of corny = ) but it just makes everything seem so real, I can't wait to get mine. I have noticed that they are a bit disorganized from the start in my acceptance package they typed in that my orientation date was Aug 30, 2010 when in reality its Jan 10, 2011 thank god I caught that because I have been chatting with you guys here, so I called and they apologize for the mix up. I would have been at the wrong orientation and with the wrong class looking CRAZY lol. And financial aid OMG every time I call it's something different, but I'll keep calling and I'm sure they will eventually get it right by January; it sucks for those of you that don't have the time for their screw ups though = /. I am still down as an out of state student as well! When they have had my residency application for about 2 weeks already; When I called they told me yes we have it here and it should be updated soon, so let's see. Thanks for everything you and this blog are so helpful and although you guy are class of 2012 and we are class of 2013 we will still be going through to exact same thing eventually! So it would be great for everyone to KIT because I am sure your class can help ours out A LOT = ). Thanks for everything!

Jerziana29, one more favor please?, when you go get your other tops engraved can you ask them for the script type(name), size, color and place the exct format? when I enlarge the picture just that part of the uniform on my I phone it looks a bit blurry. thank you = )

Not a problem Karina.... yeah i am going tomorrow to another uniform store by my house and i am ordering my lab coat as well..... i will ask them what they are going to use so i will keep you posted..... yes u need to be on top of NOVA the process is long even when you get accepted.... if its not financial aid its something else.... ugh so frustrating but i am happy we are all in this together... KIT for sure... any help is good.... we will all be nurses at the end.. GOOOOO NURSE SHARKS!!!!!!!

ok guys..so today I received a phone call from NOVA...they offered me a seat for the FALL 2010 class (!!!!!!) imagine my excitement..the only bad thing is that I need to pay like 1250 dollars up front..since this is so last minute its basically crunch time for me...i'm still not sure if I can make it or not..Essentially I have until august 23rd to get all my paper work together..tuition figured out and fee paid etc..to those of you who have been accepted what is this process like? do you have to pay tuition right away? did any of you guys take out loans? tonight i'm having a talk with my mom and we are going to figure out exactly what the best option for me will be..we both think this was definitely a blessing ..and the fact that i can start nursing school a few weeks from today really makes me want to work harder in order to make the payments needed..any advice would be helpful!

congrats linda!!!

have you filled our your fafsa already? if you did make sure nova has all the information needed since they will take care of getting your fianancial aid package ready. from what ive heard you have 30 days after the first day of class to pay your tuition in full. you shouldnt worry since you will have government loans that will cover it.

i would say to pay your fees asap even if you have to put it on a credit card, you can pay it off after the loan money is disbursed. you have been blessed to be able to start five months earlier!!! if i were you i would not even think twice, maybe your parents can loan you the deposit money. i already paid the $1000 fees due before orientation, it kindof hurt to be paying so much already but at the end it will be worth it. good luck! i hope to see you in a few weeks!!!

thanks! Actually i spoke to the counselor again and i let her know that I would be paying the thousand dollar fee if not by friday then by monday..I have family members trying to help me scrounge up as much money as we can..also I'm a bartender and I work all weekend form thursday to sunday so I know I can definitely try and get as much money as possible asap..she also told me I need to pay 250 dollars as an acceptance fee I think it was..but I believe that the 1000 fee is the most important one as of now..so i'm focusing mostly on that..I'm excited and nervous at the same time..everything is happening so quickly and i feel like I don't have enough time to get everything together.but hopefully and Godwilling things will fall into place..

i can only imagine the excitement i wouldve had a heart attack!! and all of the heart ache and the ups and downs and look everything happens for a reason.....you are truly blessed and this was meant to happen for you now. i agree with zdream i wouldnt think twice about it....go ahead and go for it girl!! its worth it..... i did loans and just got approved not too long ago but like zdream said you have to do your fafsa first and nova takes care of the rest. they will let you know how much money you get and how it will be disbursed etc. you have a lot of work ahead of you.. lots of paperwork to fill out but you can do that all online... congrats again this is for sure something to celebrate on!!! glad you will bw joininf us on the 30th!!! goooooo sharkkkssss!!!!! :yeah: :yeah: :yeah:

thanks girl! yea it was a surreal moment...I haven't really told many people only because I don't want to jinx it..ahhh... :) anyways..I have a quick question..the orientation is on august 30th correct? do you know if by chance we have to have our uniforms and everything by that date...also ..do we meet with them (the school) anytime prior to that date? or do classes begin on august 30th? so many things that I need to do..so little time! any help would be appreciated..thanks!
