Nurse Practitioners out there: 1) what is your specialty? 2) how many hours do you work per week 3) how many weeks of vacation/sick time 4) How many years of experience? 5) what is your total salary with bonuses? 6) What is your total revenue to the practice?

Me: OBGYN/36 hours/3 weeks/6 years/135K/550K. And my income should increase next year since I just started at this new practice and am building my practice.

Interesting read here for NPs who are frustrated with pay. There are a lot of NPs coming out of school taking really low salaries just to get a job. Take a look at this article that explains what Some NPs are worth (salary) compared to what they bring in for revenue.

Is there a monetary limit on your CME benefit? 8 weeks PTO is sweet! ?

Sorry, $1500/year for CME

8 weeks PTO is after 10 years with practice. I've got 12+ years now with the practice.

Specializes in Rheumatology/Emergency Medicine.

Arthritis/Rheumatology/Emergency Medicine

32-36 hours main job mon-fri with tuesday either off or a training day, 5 patients/day

14-28 hours OT on weekends, double time

26 days vacation time, 13 days sick time per year, 3 days CME time for annual conference and no money

Started main job $95,000/yr, just got promotion at 1 year mark $103,000 base salary

ER job, $60,000/yr with 1 day/week, or $120,000/yr with 2 days/week, Extra income

So, I can make $165,000-$200,000/yr (before taxes) without too much trouble

1.5 years experience, no income to practice, (Govt job)

So I'm interested in your emergency medicine (ER) is it with govt too? That's pretty sweet gig to only be able to work 1 or 2 days per week and make that kinda extra money. What all do you do in ER, are you just stuck with minor colds sprains and cuts? Or do you get to assist and do more serious cases? If I go the FNp route I am very interested in doing emergency medecine, and urgent care on side.
