NP Salaries

Nurse Practitioners out there: 1) what is your specialty? 2) how many hours do you work per week 3) how many weeks of vacation/sick time 4) How many years of experience? 5) what is your total salary with bonuses? 6) What is your total revenue to the practice?

Me: OBGYN/36 hours/3 weeks/6 years/135K/550K. And my income should increase next year since I just started at this new practice and am building my practice.

I am also an AGNP. I worked >40hrs, 3weeks PTO, 1 week CME, total comp $90K. I am curious what state you are working right now? I am at VA.

I am in California, in a rural area in the mountains. Interestingly, the coastal cities like SF, LA, San Diego pay less, and the cost of living is a lot higher.

I live in LA and so fed up with traffic and cost of life , graduating in May as FNP and looking for jobs with in locations with better quality of life , where are you located ?

I am in Northeast California, east of Redding. There are lots of good NP jobs in California. Look anywhere except on the coast. Redding, Chico, Fresno. Anywhere in the Central Valley. There are lots of smaller towns up in the mountains as well.

ED with 5 Years Experience: 14-15 shifts per month typically and come in at $150k/yr. CME is $2500. Was offered $188k in another part of the country to do basically the same, but wife didn't want to move. Cost of living where I am is cheap, so it's fine. However, ED attendings who work with me are clearing $500k+/year working same to less/hours. I guess I am a third level not "midlevel" as some old school docs like to say.

Do you mind to share how many RN experience did you have and what units you worked before as RN?

None. I did an ABSN and then went straight to MSN NP.

Wow that sure sounds nice. From your username I assume you are a Family NP? Has your employer ever pushed for ACNP and/or ENP? Did you work as an ER nurse prior to NP? I am considering ER NP.

PC. No acnp school worth their salt would accept an RN without experience.
